The Mayor of Jerusalem,
By As Mayor of Jerusalem he built those institutions including the Israel Museum, the Jerusalem Theatre , parks throughout the city, which transformed it from a backwater into a modern city. He worked hard after the re-unification of June 1967 to promote good relations between the Jewish and Arab citizens of the city. He was a person of immense charm and likeability, who promoted the cause of Jerusalem throughout the world. But he was also a very hard- workiing Mayor who supervised carefully the ongoing , everyday life of the City. His story is a tremendously inspiring one, for it shows how much one individual with great determination and courage- can contribute to the world. This work written with the help of his son tells his story in his own inimitable and dynamic way.

The greatest Jerusalem mayor,
By
This review is from: For Jerusalem: A life (Hardcover)
Teddy has been the greatest Jerusalem mayor in modern times. For more than thirty years he worked unceasingly to build the city . Museum Row is just one of his creations. He in many ways is responsible for modernizing the city, and upgrading its services. In this autobiography he tells of his early years in Vienna, his Zionism, his Aliyah, his work during the War of Independance in helping acquire arms for Israel, his connection with Ben- Gurion and above all his story as mayor of Jerusalem. This is a moving story of a remarkable public figure who was at one point perhaps the most famous mayor in the world, and the most beloved in his own city.
