Excelente libro para conocer más a fondo la vida de Jesús. Aunque está escrito en un lenguaje accesible, requiere un cierto esfuerzo por parte del lector. Sin duda dejará una profunda huella en quien lo lea.

Siempre me llamo la antencion este libro sin embargo no habia tenido la posibilidad de comprarlo en formato papel debido a que era bastante costoso hasta que adquiri el kindle y lo compre en digital, mas barato. en realidad nunca he entendido porque me llamaba la atencion el libro hasta que cuando empece a leerlo vi que era extraordinario, y que es un libro que todos deberian leer pues es un libro muy detallado que explica la figura de jesus de nazaret con detenimiento y escrito por la persona mas cercana a dios en este mundo el papa.

Es todo un estudio teológico sobre los evangelios pero en un lenguaje que puede ser entendido por cualquier persona que haya leído la Biblia. Recomendable incluso para no creyentes como yo

This short book, essentially, a series of essays, is remarkable for its breadth of scholarship and deep spiritual insight. The Pope is revealed as a profound and compassionate thinker, and, most importantly, a teacher, whose towering intellect never overcomes his humility. If John Paul II was the Pastoral Pope, Benedict XVI is the Professor Pope. He is intellectually fearless, and knows that Christianity is nothing if it cannot ask and answer the most difficult questions which modernity poses: Is Jesus real? Is he God, or only a philosopher, or liberal rabbi? The Pope poses these, and considers the debate of ideas as if he were in a college theology classroom where lively intellectual freedom and mutual respect are paramount. His conclusions are compelling and compassionate. One senses that his desire to communicate is the result of a deep love for his fellow man- and not just for Catholics, but a love of all humanity regardless of creed, or lack thereof.

This book is really marvelous for meditating. Its actually Pope Benedict XVI giving the meditation himself. Slow and meditating reading and rereading is recommended. I have really enjoyed it and will continue to do so for the rest of my life.

El santo padre nos dice en parte de su prologo que es un libro no eclesial sino personal y que los lectores tenemos derecho a criticar lo que ahi se dice, sin embaargo la riqueza que encontramos en la experiencia de vida de nuestro Papa es la riqueza que la Madre Iglesia nos ha venido transmitiendo a travez de los años.
