5.0 out of 5 stars What a Suspenseful Book!!!, December 20, 2001
By
This review is from: Jesper (Paperback)
This book, "Jesper", a sequel to "Lisa", is a quite suspenseful story for a topic on war. Stories that have themes on war always seem boring to me, but these two books have changed my likes for books. This is an overview of what the book is mainly about:
Jesper and his fellow resistance fighters help bring their home country to freedom from their opposing country, Germany. Denmark's Allies, France, Britain, and Sweden had supported them to spread the current news about the new plans for bombing more German headquarters.
I recommend these two books, "Jesper" and "Lisa", to those who like to read about war and adventure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Book! I recommend!, March 5, 2000
This review is from: Jesper (Paperback)
This is an amazing book! It really makes you think and gives a great perspective of being a teenager growing up around the Second World War and the Holocaust. Teenagers can really relate to the characters in this book, I know being a teenager. I love this book, and I think you will too! Carol Matas does a great job researching all of her books so I think you should look into her others as well as buying this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Riveting and Satisfying Sequel to "LISA", November 6, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Jesper (Paperback)
This is a must read for those who enjoy historical juvenile fiction. It is a gripping continuation of the stroyline Matas began in her award winning Lisa (also published as Lisa's War). After Stefan and Lisa have left Denmark, Jesper continues his underground resistance work in suspense filled Copenhagen. Beautifully written.

I thought this book was okay but I didn't go crazy for it. It should have been based on a real person so you would actually know what the people felt like, for real. The book didn't seem real enough.
