If you are investing the money to get the precision of the Jessem router lift, then shell out the extra bucks to adequately support your work closer to the router bit. Reduces tearout and improves control. Considering the boardfoot cost of hardwoods, if you save a half a dozen board feet from being ruined by dipping of the work near the bit, you will more than recoup the cost of this item.

The inserts alow you to match the hole size to the router bit. These work and fit in the table perfectly. That is what I paid for and what I got. I only wrote this because in todays market there are a lot of things that don't work as advertised these did.

I agree with the other reviewer. If you are going to get the lift you might as well spend the extra money on this set. The fit and finish are great. They easily lock in place with the wrench. Well worth the money.

Ordered with the JessEm lift and the fit is perfect. Very happy with setup of P/C router and Bench Dog cast iron table.

These are of a much better quality than the insert that came with my Jessem router lift. I bought these to use with a 1 3/8 brass bushing but the bit is slightly off center. Not sure if it is the bushing, insert or the router lift.....

Anyway I was impressed with their quality and am glad I bought them!

After I spent close to $800 dollars for a Jessem table, fence,table insert and mobile base, I decided to buy these inserts. I haven"t used my router table as of yet, but I'm sure it will work as advertised. I'm just amazed at the way Jessem makes you buy piece by piece. The net thing you know you've spent close to $800 dollars on a router table. I guess its just good marketing by Jessem.

These rings worked as advertised. My JessEm router lift was lacking without the rings and they really help out. All the rings fit well and are perfectly flush when inserted allowing continued accurate routing. The rings are snug, so they don't accidently come out and they thread out counter to the revolution of the bit to prevent it from being launched if something gets wedged in between a rotating bit and a ring. If I had any complaint it would be that they don't come with the lift in the first place. Otherwise..it's a needed accessory for your router lift.

Great product if you want the 1/8" clearances around your spinning router bit. Also one insert is for the porter cable guide bushing for routing mortises. Best price available on Amazon.com

The JessEm Tab-Loc Inserts are undoubtedly a great addition to the JessEm Router Lift, but I wouldn't know. I ordered the set on August 1, and they now tell me I might get it in early November, although the Amazon page says they are in stock. If you need this in the foreseeable future, use other sources. This is happening often with today's Amazon.
