5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome book!, December 22, 2006
A Kid's Review
This is a very good book for someone who is shy, is worried about self-image, and doesn't believe in herself, like me.

Sandra Feris is anything but popular. She's shy, tall, gawky, and doesn't have strong self-confidence. Everyone at school makes fun of her. Until Jessica and Elizabeth step in.
They give Sandra a complete makeover--they not only teach her how to do her hair, make-up, and clothes, but also how to talk, walk, and smile confidently.

The next day Sandra is the talk of the town. People who used to laugh behind her back are now complimenting her new look. Bruce Patman is flirting with her. Even Steven gets tongue-tied around Sandra! And there is a rumor that Sandra has been asked to join the Unicorns.
All the attention Sandra is receiving is making Jessica jealous. She's used to being the pretty and popular one! So Jessica is determined to win a huge school contest that is coming up to show people how popular she really is. Jessica's sure she has a 99% chance of winning...until Sandra gets in the way.
The twins remind me of Mary-Kate and Ashley in the Two of a Kind books, so if you like that or the Babysitters Club series, I would highly recommend The Sweet Valley Twins series to you.

4.0 out of 5 stars jessica's Bad Idea, December 11, 2002
A Kid's Review
In the book jessica's Bad Idea, the protagonistis Jessica and Sandra. The conflict of the story is when Jessica gives Sandra a makeover and gives her new clothes, then the next day at school Sandra becomes more popular than Jessica is.A small summary for this story is when Jessica and Sandra both run for student of the year.the best part of the story is when Sandra actually gives credit to Jessica for giving her the makeover, and Sandra and Jessica become friends.

3.0 out of 5 stars Yeah, it's fine, December 16, 2000
By A Customer
I enjoyed the Sweet Valley Twins series in elementary school, and I used to read them all the time! This book, however, isn't one of the best. Jessica and Elizabeth meet Sandra Ferris, an unpopular girl at Sweet Valley Middle School. They give her a makeover, and magically overnight, she becomes the queen of popularity. I don't think it's very realistic that Sandra suddenly became so popular now that she was pretty. And Jessica was very selfish. Instead of feeling glad that Sandra had gained some new friends, Jessica was rude and jealous. However, I did enjoy reading it so I'll give it three stars.
