Her self-titled EP garnered attention from thousands of young listeners, and she received top billing on several national tours. Eager record label executives also came calling, and Daniels signed with Nashville, Tenn.-based Midas Records in late 2005. With a production team that boasts, among others, mix engineer Jeff Rothschild (Santana, Ashlee Simpson, Sheryl Crow, Bon Jovi, Kelly Clarkson, Mariah Carey), and producer Scott Davis, Daniels will release her highly anticipated first national project June 6, 2006.
Daniels full-length debut, also self-titled, features 12 power pop-rock songs, all written by the nineteen-year-old. The record lays bare Daniels soul, addressing life issues like coming of age and finding clarity amidst confusion. Ever true to her faith in God, Daniels also talks honestly about her spiritual journey in a real and relevant way. All of this is wrapped in a fun package with singable melodies and contagious hooks. Radio has already begun to jump on her first single, "The Noise," now receiving spins nationwide. With a natural beauty both inside and out as well as charisma that draws you into her high-spirited world; Jessie Daniels has something honest and unshakable to share with all who will listen.
The new album project, for the first time, captures the true essence of Jessie Daniels.

Allow Me To Give You Two Different Reviews On This One Project.,
By Indiana Jeff Reynolds "Preacher Jeff" (Indianapolis, IN USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jessie Daniels (Audio CD)
First, let me review the female vocalist Jessie Daniels' project. It is definitely rock, but it is good. She has a great voice. She has two mixes of "Hold Me Now"; the first fits her rock style; the second is a duet with Tom Pellerin from Overflow, which is more of a soft, piano based ballad, and a welcome change of pace at the end of her project. Favorite tracks on this project include "The Noise", "What I Hear", "Stand Out", "What Happened", and "Human Being".
Second, let me review this project by the Christian singer Jessie Daniels. Unfortunately, you need to read her liner notes to be aware of her faith. Those notes make it clear she is a believer, and that her faith in Christ is where her viewpoint starts. But none of the lyrics to her eleven songs mention "God" or "Christ"; in fact, on the written lyrics, there is only one capital letter on a pronoun to indicate it is directed to God. "The Noise" and "Human Being" have clear Christian messages when one thinks about them, but the rest of the project would give no hint to a listening unbeliever that this is different from a secular artist. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with that, but I personally would prefer her to take her lamp from underneath the bushel.

Not only is this album amazing, but so is Jessie. I saw her in concert on June 11, 2006 and she is an amazing performer and truly gives everything's she's got in each and every song. I met her after the show and she's equally as amazing off stage. She's so down to earth and cares so much about her fans and is so thankful. The album is wonderful! I love love love it! My favorite song is the remix of "Hold Me Now" is so beautiful. I also enjoy Hello/Goodbye, The Noise, well, basically the whole album.

This girl can sing! Needs a better marketing company though.,

If you like Michelle Branch, Avril Levigne or Kelly Clarkson you'll definately appreciate her voice and music. It is a great first album with many memorable tunes. I'm surprised her CD only ranks around 36,000th in music sales on Amazon. I guess that can be attributed to poor marketing because her talent and songs do deliver. Perhaps the whole Christian slant gives people the wrong impression about this album. The harsh picture of her doesn't help either. I highly recommend you give it a try though, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
