4.0 out of 5 stars Allow Me To Give You Two Different Reviews On This One Project.
First, let me review the female vocalist Jessie Daniels' project. It is definitely rock, but it is good. She has a great voice. She has two mixes of "Hold Me Now"; the first fits her rock style; the second is a duet with Tom Pellerin from Overflow, which is more of a soft, piano based ballad, and a welcome change of pace at the end of her project. Favorite tracks on...

2.0 out of 5 stars Reasons I don't like Jessie Daniels....
REASONS NOT TO LIKE JESSIE

1: Jessie Daniels is a very talented girl, but she basically sings the same type of song over and over again. I don't know about you guys, but I want a little variety.

2: She looks like a very mean person on the cover.

3: Isn't she supposed to be a Christian? Why is she singing about love stuff in...

4.0 out of 5 stars Allow Me To Give You Two Different Reviews On This One Project., January 21, 2007

Favorite tracks on this project include "The Noise", "What I Hear", "Stand Out", "What Happened", and "Human Being".

Second, let me review this project by the Christian singer Jessie Daniels. Unfortunately, you need to read her liner notes to be aware of her faith. Those notes make it clear she is a believer, and that her faith in Christ is where her viewpoint starts. But none of the lyrics to her eleven songs mention "God" or "Christ"; in fact, on the written lyrics, there is only one capital letter on a pronoun to indicate it is directed to God. "The Noise" and "Human Being" have clear Christian messages when one thinks about them, but the rest of the project would give no hint to a listening unbeliever that this is different from a secular artist. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with that, but I personally would prefer her to take her lamp from underneath the bushel.

5.0 out of 5 stars beautiful, June 15, 2006
This review is from: Jessie Daniels (Audio CD)
Not only is this album amazing, but so is Jessie. I saw her in concert on June 11, 2006 and she is an amazing performer and truly gives everything's she's got in each and every song. I met her after the show and she's equally as amazing off stage. She's so down to earth and cares so much about her fans and is so thankful. The album is wonderful! I love love love it! My favorite song is the remix of "Hold Me Now" is so beautiful. I also enjoy Hello/Goodbye, The Noise, well, basically the whole album.

5.0 out of 5 stars This girl can sing! Needs a better marketing company though., August 4, 2006

If you like Michelle Branch, Avril Levigne or Kelly Clarkson you'll definately appreciate her voice and music. It is a great first album with many memorable tunes. I'm surprised her CD only ranks around 36,000th in music sales on Amazon. I guess that can be attributed to poor marketing because her talent and songs do deliver. Perhaps the whole Christian slant gives people the wrong impression about this album. The harsh picture of her doesn't help either. I highly recommend you give it a try though, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Rocking, August 24, 2006

This is a great CD. Definitely more rock than a typical pop-ish debut, and good meat in the lyrics as well. I have enjoyed it a lot, and definitely think it is a good buy if you want more punch to your music while enjoying thoughts on faith and life and honest questions about both.

Ive been listening to her since her EP in 2003. Im glad shes finally breaking out. Standouts- Everyday, What I Hear, Hello/Goodbye, and Stand Out. The rest of the album is good also. The 9th track is not Human Being. Its a new song called I Will Wait For You

Jessie Daniels has put together a solid debut album. It has a good rock sound with some pretty good messages.

Most of the songs are rather lyrically ambiguous. They could be talking about a relationship with God or a human. The only thing that makes it clear that many of them have a spiritual context is the CD jacket. In it, Jessie talks about her relationship with the Lord and relates that to the song in question. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but if one has not read that enclosure, it would be virtually impossible to determine the meaning of most of the songs.

Ms. Daniels certainly has a lovely voice and lots of potential talent. This is definitely worth a listen.

The Christian equivalent of Avril Lavigne. Check out "Hello/Goodbye". My 17 year old daughter loves it.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THIS CHICK, July 26, 2007

I am a new fan of the christian rock world. Starting off with really good artist this would have to be one of my fav. I can understand every word, and she doesnt let her music drown out her singing which is something I rarely hear in rock. The words to her songs are absolutely wonderful and really make a person think about their life. JESUS IS THE WAY and you will get the point after buying this wonderful cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars ***Highly Recommend Jessie Daniels***, May 6, 2007
This review is from: Jessie Daniels (Audio CD)
Jessie Daniels, a female vocalist, that has a beautiful voice with passion. The songs that Jessie Daniels creates redefines someone in every way. I would recommend this CD to anyone in this world because Jessie Daniels sends out messages in her music that could help them get closer to the Lord.

If you like the bands Inhabited and Krystal Myers then you will definitely enjoy the music that Jessie Daniels has created. Just a few recommended songs you should listen too: "The Noise," "Everyday," "Hold Me Now," "What I Hear."

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Cd!!! A must have, March 30, 2007
This review is from: Jessie Daniels (Audio CD)
This Cd is awesome, Great for non-christians too. I would recommend this cd to any pre-teen, teen, or college age individual. I can't get enough of it, it's popy and rocky but not to hard, and not too soft, it also has so up beat r&b mixes. I love this cd
