I read two reviews before buying this product. Thank goodness I overlooked the poor quality remarks. This apron is adorable, nicely made, and the fabric is similar to a light/medium weight linen. This apron does all it was meant to - it makes you feel almost as cute as it is and it will keep off flour dustings and spatters. If you are looking for the heavier duty fabrics, to keep off major spills and slops, perhaps you might try the Cannon apron at Amazon.com. That fabric is stiffer, the coverage a bit better, but you won't feel as pretty (and it won't bring back fond memories of your grandmother making biscuits and fig jam in the summer). For me, this apron was well worth it and I am buying another in a different pattern and one for a friend!

I got apron this for my special someone, and she looks good wearing it. The material is cotton, and not particularly soft, but the purpose of the apron is to keep your clothes clean while you prepare dinner.

The bow removes easily for washing (machine wash cold, tumble dry low), and the wide straps are easy to tie.

It's practical and fun; definitely better than the cheap, boxy, commercial aprons available elsewhere.

I was not expecting this to be a heavy duty professional chef apron, it is adorable and meant to make you look and feel cute while cooking. I have a few friends that have these too, in different patterns. We all love them.

I bought this as an I Love You Present for my Wife. The day I got it I set it out, and she came home and put it on. She thought it was very cute and well made. The bow is kinda cheesy. A safety pin holds the bow on, but thats what makes it removable. The material feels like linen, which seems sturdy enough.

Overall she loves her apron and wheres it daily, She looks very cute in it as well. All our guests that come over for dinner like it. Nevermind the bad reviews you will like it.

I read the reviews and was concerned about fabric quality, etc., prior to placing my order. I received my apron yesterday and am cooking in it today. I have absolutely no concerns regarding the fabric. Granted, it is white and you will be cooking in it, but I find the material to be perfect. The apron is more adorable than I thought it would be and extremely flattering. I couldn't be more pleased!

My only concern would be fit; I am a size 4 and it fits me perfectly. If the cook had wider hips, the skirt of it would stick out more on the sides. I expected the back of it to nearly meet on each side, but it barely wraps around my sides. However, I don't think this would be a deterrent to order it. It will still be cute and serve its purpose, no matter what! I would say the apron is "narrow" even at the top, but definitely not a deterrent to order. I am in love with it and will be ordering more Jessie Steele aprons in this style in different colors!

I thought this apron was so cute! I love the style of it but the fabric is CHEAP. I had never seen this in person only online and when I got the apron from my husband for Christmas I was VERY disapointed in how cheaply made this apron was! I thought for $30+ it would have had thicker material!! It's like you can see through it... not sure how that's going to work considering the fact that it's supposed to keep the food OFF of your clothes.
I also dont like the fact that you have to tie staps at the top of your neck as well as at your waste (it doenst have a top loop like most aprons)... it takes longer to put on then I would like because of that and it's harder to adjust because you have to untie it to do that. Anyways it's SUPER CUTE but I wouldnt have paid the price they are asking if I would have known how CHEAP the material was.

THIS IS MADE FROM THIN, CHEAP FABRIC. IT'S SEE THROUGH. NOT AT ALL WHAT I WAS EXPECTING. I CAN'T BELIEVE HIGH END COOKING STORES EVEN CARRY THIS BRAND. I SAW THE ALL BLACK APRON AT ONE (AFTER ORDERING THIS ONE) & WAS HOPING THIS ONE WASN'T GOING TO BE CHEAP LOOKING, LIKE THE BLACK ONE...BUT IT IS.

Café Toile was the 1st Jessie Steele apron I purchased as a gift for my daughter a budding cook 2 Christmas's ago. I really love this "Josephine" style so much so that I have also purchased it in the Candy Canes print for my mom, and now the Parisian Toile for myself. I am not sure if the quality of the fabric they are using now is different or has changed since I made my purchase & some of the earlier negative reviews were posted. The fabric on all 3 of these aprons is a nice thick linen type fabric, it is definitely not see-thru, and holds it shape beautifully. I love these aprons and feel adorable wearing them. Like a Hostess with the Mostess!!! Enjoy!

I wanted to find a cute Apron and this one fit the bill. For the price I think it's a fair purchase, the waist bowIs a cute little touch that I think really makes the apron in person. I have read that if you put this in a wash on too high a cycle you may destroy it, I will likley be cautious until I've become comfortable with it's durability, but the cuteness? It's definitely nicer looking in person that the picture lets on :)

The picture looks like a full size apron. It only covers the top part of the torso. The material was cheap for the price they charge. Would not recommend this if you really want a functioning apron.
