This recording conveys the true spirit of Christmas as few others do. These are the classic German carols sung simply and very beautifully. The selection is large and somewhat unusual so it won't just overlap with your other Christmas CDs. The choir sings clearly and reverently. It is wonderful for background music to a festive evening, but the quality is such that it also stands up strongly to a careful and attentive listening. Highly recommended.
