5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST FOR THE METAPHYSICAL STUDENT, June 13, 2001
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jesus Christ Heals (Unity Classic Library) (Hardcover)
Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, is definitely one of the foremost metaphysical teachers and authors. Each of his books is worth studying at least once. This isn't to say that one should agree with all of his expressed viewpoints. He himself fought against his movement's having a specific credo, arguing that as times change, perspectives change. But his viewpoints are all well thought out and well worth examining. The book does give a metaphysical interpretation of the Bible, and as such, I don't recommend it to staunch Biblical literalists.

As the title suggests, this book does go deeply into the healing process from the metaphysical perspective, and the astute reader will learn why a healing might not occur in his life, and how to correct the situation. This definitely is not an anti-medical book. Fillmore believed that a person may well need to go to doctors, if he feels he must. On the other hand, he did not believe that a person can be truly healed without faith in the healing power of God, whether that healing power comes directly to the patient, or through the hands of a medical practitioner. I do recommend the study guide at the end of the book which provides questions which help the reader to focus on the key points of each chapter.

Article #150
Subject: How to be the Father and Mother of God
Author: Andrew W. Harrell
Posted: 7/7/2009 11:26:21 AM

Jesus Christ Heals...
By this I mean not his presence in the Bible or in the Church, but his
personal presence inside of each of us heals.*

There is a divine order to God and His Goodness as it expresses itself inside
of us.
It is the name of God, the Trinity, Our Father in Heaven, His Blessed Son who
expresses His Father in us, and the Holy Spirit (these two persons
manifestation inside of each of us as a twofold Spirit of Truth).

Who is #one faith?
"Be still and know that I am God."
"Be still and know that I AM the substance of things hoped for!"
"Be still and know that I AM the evidence of things not seen!"
"Be still and know that I AM not thinking (our own self's mind), But, I Am
God's Mind and his Thought."
"Be still and know that I AM not peacefulness and lovingkindness, But I AM
Peace (God's Peace) and Love (God's Love0.
"I Am the beginning and the end of faith (its Alpha and Omega..Aleph and
Tav...Tau"
"I Am its Oneness inside of all of humankind."
Amen

* For more details on this I recommend the seminal book on this:
"Jesus Christ Heals" by the main Catholic new age thinker of the last century
Charles Fillmore.

Article #151
Subject: Transubstantiation of Our Lord's Body and Blood
Author: Andrew W. Harrell
Posted: 7/8/2009 11:33:23 AM

Of course to believe in the power and efficacy of the above affirmations
about concering who is to be #one faith for you, you will have to leave
behind some of the standard doctrine, still taught in many Protestant
seminaries. These teachings are in regard to whether the symbols in the
Communion service are the real substance of the body and blood of Christ. For
instance, I was told by one Methodist minister "We don't say whether it is or
it isn't." And, you will have to believe in the possibility (which is in
conflict with current Vatican teachings based on what I was told by one
Catholic priest several years ago in Rockville MD ) of not only an informal
(secular) Priesthood of all lay believers...but the self evident truth of the
existence of a completely fully functioning formal one (in divine order in
the world around us. It being much more widespread than only as a Kingdom of
Heaven in the Christian Church on earth in the world around us)also.
