Jack Abeelen's In depth studies are meant for the purposes of application, and give you a unique picture of the life of Jesus Christ. Taken from his sermons through the life of Jesus, this book can be both a study resource for Pastors (especially those who want to teach their people the scriptures applicably), and a devotional walk through the life of Christ. In down to earth form and fashion Pastor Jack gives you the storyline, the drama, and and the lessons learned from the greatest life ever lived (dying the death none of us could die, for us!). This is a must read for those seeking to get the fullest possible picture of the life of Christ, and walk with him in His steps.

I have known Pastor Jack for 25 years and over the last 20 years he has been not only my pastor, but also my boss. As such, I was excited to get the Jesus Chronicles the moment it was released and immediately began to devour it. I was so thrilled at not only the commentary on the life and ministry of Jesus, but more importantly the many, many applications that Pastor Jack draws from the texts. Before even finishing the book, I purchased several other copies to give to some of my family members, who in turn have now read the book and are experiencing changed lives.

I love this book. It's great the way he lays out our Saviors life through the gospels. The only problem is, every time I go to pick it up to read it, my wife has confiscated it! I need to buy her one. I highly recommend it for anyone with a desire to learn more about GODS WORD. Thanks Jack for all your wonderful teaching, it has been a real blessing in my life.
