Book Description

October 3, 2001
The Jesus Cult is not a book for everyone. It is written for those both inside and outside the Christian camp who diligently seek the truth and liberation that comes from the True and Living God. This book takes the reader into the spiritual depths of the Holy Scriptures to expose the true spirit behind the deception propagated by religious leaders in the church throughout the ages.

The reader of this book will get an understanding of the deception of the devil since before the time of Adam and Eve and how this spirit of deception has infiltrated the church. It is not a text for the weak or feeble; only the sharp and discerning will be able to 'hang on' as Pastor Gary C. Price unveils the internal make-up of Christendom around the globe. Sadly, it is glaringly apparent that multitudes of well-meaning Christians and spiritual zealots are bowing down to religious teaching and traditions that keep them soulish and bound to this present world. By exposing this deception, my prayer is that every reader will repent and turn away from this destructive system and onto a Spirit-led journey to establish a true and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

Throughout the pages of this book you will see your life depicted in one way or another. The Jesus Cult not only reveals the spirit of deception, but also provides Biblical answers for the way of escape. The only way is through Jesus Christ. People, it's time to come out of every facet of the world. For too long, we have trusted in all of these worldly systems, from religion and government, to industry and commerce, to no avail. We must begin, today, to rid ourselves of the soulish anchors that bind us to the religious spirit of the Antichrist.

Pastor Price's revelation of The Jesus Cult is bold, courageous and uncompromising. His labor 'in the Word and prayer' before the Throne of God has forged in him a prophetic voice to send a clarion call to God's remnant-wherever they reside throughout all the earth. Have no doubt about it; this book is inspired by the Holy Ghost! Through practical, real-life and everyday experiences the Spirit of God began to open the eyes of this shepherd. As Pastor Price met people on the streets of Atlanta, and dialogued with those who sit on church pews every Sunday, the devil's master scheme of deception was clearly exposed. Once he saw the true light, he has never wavered from preaching an end-time message of truth and power.

As men and women have encountered the original Gospel of Jesus Christ, they have come out of these religious settings burdened down with demonic weights that plague their souls. They emerge still bound, hurt, and in need of intense deliverance. I have seen the effects of the Jesus Cult on too many of God's people to question its validity and reality in our culture. I am thankful for the impact that this book will have on your life as well. Jesus comes to set the captive free!

About the Author

Pastor Gary C. Price is the Senior Pastor of Omega Church and Ministries Center located in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been ministering to the Body of Christ for seventeen years under an anointing that deals specifically with the bondage of the inner-man. Pastor Price believes that the present day Church has lost the vision that Jesus Christ imparted to the Apostles before He departed to be enthroned with His Father. He also believes that the Church must be brought to repentance and humility through self denial in order for God to move in these last days. When listening to his words many have received the revelations of a prophetic voice calling the Church back to patriarchal authority and obedience to the Holy Spirit.

His ministry began in 1984 after God prophetically called him to remove barriers that Satan has constructed to separate God from His people. The main barrier to be removed, he believes, is religious bondage to man-centered organizations. He has diligently sought the Lord for guidance on how to go about initiating the end-time deliverances to set the Body of Christ free.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Manual, a Map, a Work of Heart!, July 13, 2002
This review is from: The Jesus Cult (Paperback)
The most confrontational book in religious circles today. Banned from advertising on a local Fox network in Atlanta due to pressure from today's moneymaking religious organizations.

This is a heavy book. In essence, it defines the single message existing throughout the Bible in contrast to the many errors within each of the major religious movements of our day. For example: Are we all gods? Are we born basically good? Are we called to be prosperous?

If man's first false religion was the same Pantheism that began in the story of the Garden of Eden, then it is also man's last false religion in the currently evolving world government. The temptation to be "as god" drives us ever up the tower of Babylon and ever deeper into our atrocities as we "man-make" ourselves out of existence.

No wonder Gary Price is being challenged by the so-called religious authorities of our day. False religions (which is basically all organized religion, period) have a rich history of smothering out whatever confronts their money machine. I would recommend this book to anyone seeking to understand, whether deeply religious or deeply atheistic.

The Jesus Cult, in essence, describes a body of thought whereby Jesus the man and Jesus the message as written in the Bible is used not for the body of believers but rather against the body of believers in such a way that fools us all into thinking that our own Pantheism is a righteous and true religion, with good fruits (results), and so on. While in actuality, what we have is a bunch of people acting on temptation to put themselves up above truth giving themselves ultimate authority to live however they want to live while molding the message around their own weakness so as to cover up rather than change or evolve. Sound like he got all false religion nailed? Well, for the most part these offenders, as it turns out, probably include you and I as well.

By the way, Gary Price is a black preacher in Atlanta. He is on record as being fully against the "civil rights industry" of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the other so-called "Reverends" who use the race card to extort money from business and government for the sake of the poor and then keep it for themselves. ... ... Not only is he the first black man I have ever heard say something directly against these shysters but he has completed a work so far beyond even the most pious of protestant believers, of any color, who find that they themselves are also taken in by their own Jesus Cult.

4.0 out of 5 stars So Many Cults, Very Little Time, March 21, 2005
This review is from: The Jesus Cult (Paperback)
I enjoyed reading this book. It outlines very many religions and cults and their beliefs. A helpful tool or guide when deciphering and rightly dividing the truth. Time is of the essence. This author doesn't hold back his pen. He name names of those who are wolves in sheeps clothing (and to my surprise and I'm sure to yours as well, some of them are big time, well known preachers). The truth must be told. The Bible does remind us that there is only a remnant who will be saved. This is why no one really knows who will make it in. You will just have to live right according to the gospel and ten commandents and HOPE that you are in that remnant.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Author Is On To Something, August 24, 2004

This review is from: The Jesus Cult (Paperback)
This book is definitely a MUST READ! Price teaches the truth and spares no feeling. He comes against anything that is not of God and he has no shame or regret. He beautifully outlines situations where people get so caught up in the "man preacher" and do not have their sight on God. He calls the storehouse the "whorehouse." So many preachers will scare their congregation into paying tithes, but Gary Price breaks down the truth about titheing. Please, by no means confuse Gary Price with Frederick K.C. Price. I hope that many of you will read this review and get this book. It can actually save your soul. The one thing I did not like about this book is the cover. It makes you think that this book is about a cult religion. But once you read the book, then you will understand the cover. I think if the author changes the book cover, the sale of this book will go sky high; but then again, maybe not because not too many people want to hear the truth. They'd rather hear lies and they love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil. But if you are one who is serious and wants a true relationship with Jesus Christ and are tired of these lying preachers and so-called Christian folks; if you are just sick and tired of your ungodly life; if you are sick and tired of going to church and see no change in your life; if you are sick and tired of playing church; then this book is for you.

Don't let this book pass you by because you could, conceivably, be passing up your salvation.
