Double vinyl LP pressing of this 2005 live album. Jesus Let Me Down was originally a fan-club-type release available almost exclusively at the band's concerts. However, after quickly selling through an initial pressing, the group decided to release it as a proper album rather than see it going for big bucks on eBay. Recorded by Absinthe Studios' Bob Ferbrache at Denver's lovely Gothic Theater in August 2004, Jesus Let Me Down captures the band's CD release show for their Alternative Tentacles studio album Bloudy Tenent. The songs are interspersed with Cessna and Munly's banter, on-stage antics and collected field recordings from camcorders and camera phones edited together by Ferbrache (Alternative Tentacles leader Jello Biafra is audible).

The next best thing is seeing them live. This is an incredible band, probably the best unknown live band in the States. If you ever get the chance, get off the 10 bucks and go, you will not be let down.

Seriously...I was at this show when it was recorded. These guys bring the house down, be it here at the Gothic Theater, Lion's Lair or the Larimer Lounge and it is definitely captured on this record. FYI, the sound is especially impressive on a good set of headphones.

Some artists songs are all good some are all junk. Then you tke ole fatso Cessna and his tunes are great or junk. Maybe D Edwards can give em some tips.
