From the Inside Flap

He didn?t work for money. He was willing to walk away. He invested his emotions wisely. He did sweat the small stuff.

Beyond work, beyond entrepreneurism, there is ?spiritreneurism??work that allows you to do well by doing right. In Jesus, Entrepreneur, Laurie Beth Jones, bestselling author of Jesus, CEO, shows you how to find soul satisfaction in your work.

Jones shows that there is no contradiction between earning a comfortable living even as you use your job to promote your deepest spiritual and personal beliefs. How exactly is this possible? By sharing timeless wisdom from the Bible and anecdotes from her own life and consulting career, as well as tales from the best and worst work situations in today?s rapidly changing business environment, she reveals how you can inspire yourself and your coworkers to use your highest gifts to benefit the bottom line.

A genius at making the powerful familiar, Jones offers a commandingly fresh and compelling case for Jesus as a role model for modern times. Rich with humor, exercises, meditations, and case histories, Jesus, Entrepreneur is essential reading for those seeking to put their spirituality to practical use.

More About the Author

Laurie Beth Jones - Best Selling Author and Motivational Speaker

Laurie Beth Jones is an internationally recognized best-selling author, speaker, coach, and trainer. Her business books, written from a spiritual perspective, have received global recognition for the sound, time-proven principles contained within. As a speaker and trainer, she has been invited to present to presidents of countries and companies, business teams, government and the judicial system, churches and ministries, service organizations, and educators.

Her first book, Jesus CEO, Using Ancient Wisdom For Visionary Leadership was written when she was struck by the notion that Jesus’ leadership approach with his staff (disciples) ran counter to many of the management styles and techniques being employed and popularized. As the owner of a successful marketing company, Laurie became increasingly dismayed to find invaluable human energy and intelligence untapped or underutilized. She made it her goal to help empower people by encouraging them to review the divine excellence in themselves and in those they serve.

She followed with The Path: Creating Your Mission Statement for Work and for Life. This book, along with Path Experience Workshops, has provided inspiration and practical advice to thousands of individuals through every step of defining and fulfilling a mission. . . a mission statement that can be created over a weekend rather than months or years. Her Personal Mission is to recognize, promote, and inspire divine connection in myself and others. She lives her mission by writing, speaking and creating opportunities for you to get clear about who you are, what you were created to do, and how to live your highest good.

In, The Four Elements of Success, Laurie introduces two new approaches to the age-old challenge of working with people. The Path Elements Profile (PEP) is an intuitive and powerful communication tool that can successfully be employed by individuals of almost any age in any situation. The Elemental Team Challenge Quiz
is a diagnostic tool for businesses based on twenty-eight principles, gleaned from hundreds of proven best practices, that can help transform a team into a powerful and productive entity.

In her most recent release, Jesus, Career Counselor, Laurie Beth defines the difference between a job, a career, and work using a construct she terms as the "Twelve Dreams" for finding and keeping your perfect work. This book is more than a manual to help you identify and find the exact job fit. Laurie's goal goes beyond helping you decide whether you want to go into pediatrics or neurosurgery, or become a part-time eBay seller or get a job at Home Depot. These are details to be determined after you have found your vocare, your calling.

Between plane trips, speaking engagements, and writing opportunities, Laurie provides amazing insights and support to her team and those she coaches. For rest and recreation she cuddles Roo, her Bichon-Frise Yorkie mix, cruises the southwest trails on Texas Range, her Palomino Tennessee Walker, and joins family and friends for opportunities of casual fun, entertainment, and enlightenment.

There's a new breed of entrepreneur emerging in the business world. One who is interested in promoting their deepest personal and spiritual beliefs, as well as their products and services. They are the ones who launch a business that not only showcases their talents, but also benefits others. Laurie Beth Jones, the best-selling author of Jesus CEO, calls this new breed of leaders "Spiritreneurs", and has dedicated this book to keeping their dreams alive.
The ultimate role model for the Spiritreneur is Jesus Christ, whose leadership style as told in the Bible, incorporated His talents, gifts, and His desire to do well by doing right. According to the author, you are a "Spiritreneur" when you are committed to establishing a business that is a true reflection of your spiritual and personal beliefs. In the coaching profession we call this `authenticity", that which is a true reflection of oneself. Using Christ as the focal point, we learn how to become real Spiritreneurs. What did He do that made Him the most successful entrepreneur and leader in the world? A few important facets of His life are covered int his book:
He heeded the call to Spiritreneurship,
During the early days He established His identity
He was a Visionary
Laurie Beth Jones takes each of these qualities and expounds upon them with relevant Biblical facts that pertain to today's entrepreneur. I came away from this reading experience with a deeper appreciation of the legacy Christ has left for us to follow. His life was the ultimate model of leadership, and of someone who launched, and lived His dream.
5 Stars. Highly recommended

Format: Paperback
Jesus Entrepreneur by Laurie Beth Jones is a book for economists with a soul. The type of economist who is entirely concerned with pluses and minuses has become abundant in today's society. Along with their increase in number, books for their appeal have also increased. This has persisted to the point where many economic books say nearly the same things. That is why this book by Jones is a breath of fresh air for the tight-collared, worldly business man or woman. It is not only for Christians.
The morals discussed in Jesus Entrepreneur can be accepted across the world. Some, if not all, are Christian morals, but not too extreme to where the normal human being couldn't accept them. The main objective of this book is to bring moral reckoning to a job that can lure its workers away from such ethics. The economy was always thought of as being concrete, black and white - no room for ethical standards. Jones has made room, and shows us how to work within physical, and spiritual boundaries.
This book is helpful to all types of economists, Christian or non-Christian, as long as they like being successful (like I said, all economists). Also, one need not be an economist to enjoy this optimistic book which gives light to a profession that may need it. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in becoming successful in spirit and in their profession.
