Jesus' background in India,

This is a very important book by Dr Kersten, a German author specialized in religious history. It is the sum of his findings in India, Nepal, Tibet and Pakistan. He provides circumstantial proof as to the whereabouts of Jesus within India-circumstantial because it is impossible to prove without question anything that happened thousands of years ago. There are over 50 books, written by Indian and other authors on the years Jesus spent in India-from age 8 to around 30 (approx.). The modern versions of the Bible do not discuss his whereabouts as a child. The author traveled to the areas in India to see for himself the evidence, and interviewed knowledgeable individuals from the Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Apparently, Jesus was trained in both traditions in the Indian monasteries and temples. The tombs of Moses, Jesus, his mother Mary, his wife Mary and his child are all found in the Kashmir area. The photos included in the book add to the author's findings. For the open-minded person, the book has a lot to offer. The boyhood of Jesus, travel to the East, spiritual training, return the Middle East, crucifixion, escape, and back to the East as portrayed in the book will make the reader re-think about modern Christianity. `Jesus Lived in India' is an excellent read for Christians as well as non-Christians. The author's perspective on the subject can be an eye-opener to all readers. Here is a very impressive book, well worth reading more than once.

This is a book that will truly open your eyes to who and what Jesus really was in his lifetime. The myths and downright lies are scraped away, and you see a man, not unlike the truly enlightened Guru's of India, emerge as a powerful teacher and Holy Man. If you are not afraid to confront your beliefs, and look at the bare truth, this is the book that is not afraid to look into the reality of our most cherished ideas about a man of great historical mystery.If a movie were ever made on the life of Jesus based on this book, everyone would feel closer to the true "Son of Man". This book will free you from dogma, and make you a far more enlightened person, than you were before you read it.

This book, by Holger Kersten is an interesting read.It covers much of the same ground as 'Lost Years of Jesus', but still omits many well known (apocryphal) elements of Jesus life... Areas that could have been explored are the story of Pantera, more of Joseph of Arimathea, a Decurion who procured tin from the British Isles and their connection to Glastonbury legends, plus the fate of Mary, Jesus Mother, brother James and other such important aspects of Jesus' personal life.
