About the Author

Ken Schenck is professor of biblical studies at Indiana Wesleyan University and an ordained minister in The Wesleyan Church. He holds a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts from the University of Kentucky, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Durham. He is the author of over six books including '1 & 2 Corinthians' and 'Understanding the Book of Hebrews'. Dr. Schenck and his wife Angela have four children: Stefanie, Stacy, Thomas, and Sophia.

This was the text for a class I took in my college cirriculum. I found it so good that I have shared it with friends and family.
It gives a great understanding of the history and culture that lead to the New Testament. Makes reading my Bible a very different experience now that I have a better understanding of things like the 12 tribes of Isteal and Paul's letters, just to name a couple of things.
Higly reccomend.
