This was the text for a class I took in my college cirriculum. I found it so good that I have shared it with friends and family.
It gives a great understanding of the history and culture that lead to the New Testament. Makes reading my Bible a very different experience now that I have a better understanding of things like the 12 tribes of Isteal and Paul's letters, just to name a couple of things. Higly reccomend.

I found this book to be very informative about the times before Jesus and the people who lived back then. I'm not done with it yet but I know that I will be going back to this book for references on a lot of subjects in the future.
