2.0 out of 5 stars A Very Unique Journey
Reading Jesus Is No Joke will take you on the very unique journey of how the author, Heidi Hollis, came to know Jesus personally.

The author explains how her life had no meaning until an encounter with Jesus and His angels in her dreams. She expresses her opinion that all can have access to these "holy visions" but not all really want them. She also states...

5.0 out of 5 stars An inspiring and encouraging tale for spiritual people, June 14, 2008
This review is from: Jesus Is No Joke: A True Story of an Unlikely Witness Who Saw Jesus (Paperback)
A raw outpouring of pure emotion from someone who is hardly a member of the clergy - "Jesus is No Joke: A True Story of an Unlikely Witness Who Saw Jesus" is the tale of Heidi Hollis and her religious experience after one random nap - which revolutionized her life and changed it forever. She explains what she saw and pours out real, true emotion - with little political motivation that one so often hears from the ordained clergy. An inspiring and encouraging tale for spiritual people, "Jesus is No Joke: A True Story of an Unlikely Witness Who Saw Jesus" is a must for community library spirituality and Christian studies collections.

5.0 out of 5 stars A witness with an important message, September 7, 2008
This review is from: Jesus Is No Joke: A True Story of an Unlikely Witness Who Saw Jesus (Paperback)
Does God still directly reveal Himself out of the blue to people 2000+ years after the Bible was completed? You bet! Heidi was given the rare privilege of meeting the resurrected Lord in these final days before His return to earth. Her book is a colorful spiritual journal, well written in a unique casual style - making it an easy read. I am one who reads books on the supernatural to get new revelations from God, and I found a lot of these golden nuggets of God-given tips on living a meaningful victorious life in this book. This is a must read for all who live their lives without taking the Author of Life seriously. Thanks Heidi for sharing your personal encounter with the Man Himself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such a refreshing and enlightening read!!!, July 31, 2008

This review is from: Jesus Is No Joke: A True Story of an Unlikely Witness Who Saw Jesus (Paperback)
Heidi has a magnificent talent for down to earth and honest to the core writing. Jesus is No Joke was every bit as entertaining as it was insightful as she shared her encounters with meeting Jesus face to face and how this has affected her own spirituality & beliefs, thus conquering some of the doubts and questioning that she, as do many of us so often have. A highly recommended book. It will truly lighten your spirit and bring a smile to your face!

4.0 out of 5 stars open and very casual religious perspective, May 23, 2011
This review is from: Jesus Is No Joke: A True Story of an Unlikely Witness Who Saw Jesus (Paperback)
The book is very silly at times and the end rambles on but it is written with such extreme honesty and good intention the book is worth reading. Even if you don't believe everything the author claims to have happened, it is still very thought provoking. Your own dreams and life experiences will verify whether or not her questions should be considered. Her section on picture prayers should have been expanded. That was such a gem. The beginning of the book may make you cry and/or worry. I had trouble sleeping after reading some sections. I'd give the book a 5 but the end just didn't stand up to the wonderful material presented earlier in the book and some of the 'advice' sounded like it was written for teens or those with little education. I will be buying copies for family members since it did make me stop and think about many things in life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Zest for life!, September 22, 2009
This review is from: Jesus Is No Joke: A True Story of an Unlikely Witness Who Saw Jesus (Paperback)
Heidi's experience with Jesus is an incredible journey into mankind's soul. Her story and the everyday wisdom gained underscores how we are all spiritual beings having a "human experience". Through her own words the reader is able to make a connection to Jesus in a way that makes one feel like they just walked away from having a personal conversation with Jesus! Bravo! I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone who is interested in awakening their spirituality and zest for life!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most fun and inspiring reads out there, December 12, 2008
This review is from: Jesus Is No Joke: A True Story of an Unlikely Witness Who Saw Jesus (Paperback)
Heidi Hollis does a fantastic job bringing a difficult and emotional subject down to the level of explanation and understanding it has been lacking. The book has a great flow to it with stories of her experiences that obviously had a profound effect on her. One of the best things about "JINJ" is the feeling you get that Heidi is sitting right in front you sharing this, wanting you to be a part of the journey and relive it with her through the pages. It truly has that kind of personal feel to it. While reading "JINJ" you will find yourself not believing and then believing, laughing and smiling and feeling uplifted by the words that cover the pages. In my opinion this is a front row seat into the mind of Heidi Hollis and her inspirations. You can honestly envision her typing the words as you read.

5.0 out of 5 stars She's got a purpose - and I appreciate her trueness., November 18, 2008

This review is from: Jesus Is No Joke: A True Story of an Unlikely Witness Who Saw Jesus (Paperback)
I have her other book as well, and to hear how her life is evolving and how she is following the path she is suppose to be on... it's encouraging and reassuring. To anyone who has anything metaphysical or spiritual happen to them, having people think you are crazy is just another unfortunate reaction. For those of us who can identify, and know that we see things because we have that channel open in our hearts and souls, our soul's purpose becomes a bit more evident every day. Keep up the good work Heidi. As you once wrote in a book to me to "Keep in the Light" - I say to you, enjoy the journey!
