I have had a battered copy of this book in paperback for over 15 years and was very pleased to find it not only still available, but also in hard copy. It has been more helpful than David Wilkerson could ever have known.

When I had had a nervous breakdown in grad school in 1986, and I was just coming back to Christ and did not know the Bible well, my mom had bought this book for me as well as Christopher Parkenings classic guitar casette SIMPLE GIFTS. I had found comfort in both of them. I get a almost all my spiritual experiences outside of church in personalk study and meditation. I even got on David Wilkerson's mailing list for his newsletter. This caused to to also see how God is judging America for its sins by its economic ruin.

God's Word is more powerful than any other. David Wilkerson has searched the Word and compiled in this little book (The Jesus Person Pocket Promise Book) 800 of God's promises to those who believe. They are categorized to speak to us in our specific situations, giving us hope and the knowledge of God's abundant grace. Reading God's promises, one after another, strengthens my faith and lifts my soul to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

My husband had been given this book many years ago and he'd just passed it down to our daughter. We just bought him this one for a Father's Day gift. It's a great little book to gather encouragement from.

I keep a copy of this little book in my purse to use to help people with questions and to encourage them with the promises God makes to those who love Him. Jesus has the answers to life's questions and comfort for times of sorrow. I challenge the women I mentor to meditate on God's promises and memorize the verses, this book makes it easy to do a topical study on a particular area such as "Are finances always a worry?"
I highly recommend this book.

I carry my promise book all the time, ( I wear them out)
It says in the word "through which to us the most great and precious promises have been given, THAT THROUGH THESE ye may become partakers of a divine nature, having escaped from the corruption in the world in desires. 2 Peter 1:4 YLT" (Gods output in the Greek)

God doesn't use his hand to make things he uses his mouth. He wants to get things to you through those promises. His word is his righteous right hand. He says he will uphold you with his righteous right hand. This is the sword of the spirit which along with prayer is your offense weapon. You must have his promises.

Whatever gate you open in earth is open in heaven. The promises are the keys to the kingdom. Open up some doors with faith in his promises.

I have seen many different promise books but this one is the best one of them all. I keep several to pass out when the lord leads me to help someone.

God's word, His promises is what gets you through this life. Having a personal relationship with Him. Diavid Wilderson has provided for you a wonderful version of scriptures for your every day life's challenges. A must for you.

I'm grateful that this promise book is still available since it's copyright is 1972. It's been my favorite for years, and I like to keep a couple of extras. When I'm in a group in which someone is learning to pray from Scripture, it's a perfect tool to give. I have purchased other pocket promise books, some for less money, but this is the one we always use.

I bought this book on a clearance table for 50 cents in the early 80's. I was in my early thirties and was so wanting to learn the Word of God but didn't know where to start. I was so overwhelmed each time I opened up my Bible. As I read this book cover to cover many times, I began to renew my mind and receive understanding and revelation of His Word and promises to me. Over the years I have purchased so many other pocket promise books and none have compared to this one. Some were too lengthy, some did not have the best scriptures for the situation at hand. I have purchased this book so many times over the years to give away to new Believer's, Women's ministry groups, and for Teens in Youth Groups. I use mine now for a quick lookup of scripture for online prayer requests!

I have had a copy of this book since the 70's. I found it still in print on Amazon and was so glad. I bought a copy of it for my children, grown adults, who had some pleasant memories rekindled from their late father reading this book back then. A great booklet to enclose in a greeting card for any occasion. RJS
