The Jesus Question. Daring to Walk the Path of Peace,
By
This review is from: The Jesus Question: Daring to Walk the Path of Peace (Paperback)
A thoughtful and timely book. Readable and clear. Anyone who asks themselves, "What would Jesus do?" Needs to read this book. One wonders why Ms Monson's critical questions have not been shouted from every pulpit. The inconsistencies in the actions and words of Christians are long overdue for a careful examination. This is it.

A clear-and-easy read with psychological insight,
This review is from: The Jesus Question: Daring to Walk the Path of Peace (Paperback)
I'd think this slim book would be ideal for use in a discussion group, especially in a church or other religious congregation. Although it's ostensibly for Christians, its message--about the effects of violence in different shapes and forms in Western culture--is universal, with references from Eisenhower to the Amish. In fact, I'd think it would as enlightening for non-Christians, with its citing of basic teachings from the Bible.

A Thought-Provoking Balm for the Soul,
This review is from: The Jesus Question: Daring to Walk the Path of Peace (Paperback)
This wonderfully thought-provoking book compiles all the questions I myself have asked for years about how some self-professed Christians can be so very hateful and intolerant, so inexplicably supportive of wars and violence. This slender volume is full of the love and light of Jesus. As someone who loves Jesus but is heartsore about the truly horrific things done "in His Name," I found Monson's book both an affirmation of my own thoughts and a balm for my soul.
