Another Barclay masterpiece!,
By
This review is from: Jesus as They Saw Him: New Testament Interpretations of Jesus (Paperback)
William Barclay had an amazing gift for being able to explain difficult concepts in simple understandable terms. This book is full of information that will be hard to find anywhere else. Barclay discusses all the different names and titles by which Jesus was called: "Lord," "savior," "Son of Man," "Apostle," "Mediator," etc - one name per chapter - 30 chapters in all. The reader will come away with new appreciation for the deep meaning behind all of these titles. An awesome addition to any theological library!

This review is from: Jesus as They Saw Him: New Testament Interpretations of Jesus (Paperback)
The book is the best factual Christian book I have read to date.Barclay gives a clear understanding of how people at the time Jesus came viewed him. He uses many sources of the times, including the Lost Books and Greek Mythology. The book is excellent for those that want to examine facts rather than feelings. He does not mince words but lays the material out in an easily understood manner.
