In "The Jesus Touch" Lynn Anderson takes you on a journey with Jesus. Some may be surprised at what they find along the way: Jesus actually loves being with people! All kinds and in a variety of settings.

Anderson places a grid over the stories of Jesus and people in the Gospel of John. In each instance--whether it's a wedding in Cana, a woman by a well in need of...

I've read Anderson before and was pleased with his writing. However, I'm not as impressed with this book. The book is meant to be a look at how Jesus was "available, sensitive, helpful, and creative." All the Biblical texts are from the Gospel of John. Frankly, after reading the first two chapters I thought, "Anderson makes a few good applications, but...

In each instance--whether it's a wedding in Cana, a woman by a well in need of hope, or a lame man by a pool who is paralyzed by his own victim mentality--Anderson shows how Jesus was available, sensitive, helpful, and creative.

Read this book and you will look at the people in your world in new ways. You will become better equipped to make an impact in their lives and make everyday encounters eternal ones. All with the Jesus touch.

I've read Anderson before and was pleased with his writing. However, I'm not as impressed with this book. The book is meant to be a look at how Jesus was "available, sensitive, helpful, and creative." All the Biblical texts are from the Gospel of John. Frankly, after reading the first two chapters I thought, "Anderson makes a few good applications, but he sure had to stretch the text of John to get them." I can't help but think my M.Div. profs would be disappointed if I wrote something like this. Sorry to say that I'm not sure the rest of the book is any better than chapters 1 & 2.
