Smooth and quiet, JET’s 1340A geared-head bench lathe is designed with an enclosed gearbox for more comfort and control over shaping tasks. The ACU-RITE DRO 200T features an easy-to-read, 14-segment vacuum fluorescent display and a sealed, 3D, tactile-feel, color keypad for precision turning. One of JET's most popular lathes, the GHB-1340A JET is designed to fit a 3-inch bench. The lathe features a solid steel dog-in front jaw, a machined toed-in jaw and a 4- by 7-inch jaw size with a 9-inch maximum opening. Jaws are drilled for optional wood facings. Fast, easy speed changes facilitate precision shaping. Helical cut headstock gears reduce noise for less operator fatigue. Change-gears allow metric threading for a wider variety of shaping applications. The 1340A also features low-voltage motor controls, an independent lead screw and feed rod, a T-slotted compound slide with four-way tool post, and a carriage mounted spindle control lever. Plus, the spindle is designed with precision tapered roller bearings for optimal support. An induction-hardened and ground V-way bed offers better command over shaping projects. And, a gap bed section is included for larger diameter pieces.
