The machinist lock is made with the highest quality ductile iron for maximum strength. The enclosed lead screw and bed are hardened and ground for years of use. Four jaw plate positions allow for extra capacity. Each pound of force horizontally produces one-half pound of force vertically, so your workpiece will not move even if it's held at the top of the jaws. The swivel base is graduated in one degree increments.
