My Father-in-law has had a house in Pelican Bay (St. Maarten) since the 70's and my wife and I go down there once a year for vacation. We got to see the planes fly in first hand from the beach a bunch of times. Great photos in this book and made a great present he can leave at the house for people to look at when they go down to use the house for a nice getaway. Amazing how close the airport is to the beach and seeing the planes flying in. This book made me wish I was there every time I looked at it...

This book memorializes one of the best plane spotting venues anywhere. And the place is just not about airplanes: the Sunset Beach Bar (more recently renamed), a great beach, and planes screaming overhead. I have made 4 visits to the place, and this book captures the sense of the place.

Great pix, descriptions, and also the flavor of a beach on the French side of St. Martin.
