Whoops! Ignore my last review!,
This review is from: Jet Generation (Audio CD)
Hey, somebody slipped a copy of Lilith Fair's Greatest Hits Vol. 11 in my Guitar Wolf CD case! This thing roars! The production on the first four songs sound as if they were recorded underwater and run through a toaster oven, which actually doesn't detract all that much. And then Teenage UFO explodes in relative clarity, and it's just stunning. These guys have got the dynamics of true gut-clenching rock and roll DOWN, and you are suddenly pinned to the wall! If you're desperate for the sheer rush that comes from defiant, no holds barred monster rock and roll, Guitar Wolf would like a minute of your time. Put this in your player and watch the "alternative" weenies flee in horror. I urge you to write your congressman and insist that the National Council for the Arts fund Guitar Wolf. As an added benefit, my health has also greatly improved since I got this CD, since I no longer have to get drunk and spin around the room to get the effect I crave- Guitar Wolf perfectly replicates the experience! What a band. What a record. Be cleansed by Guitar Wolf.

Like an atomic bomb in your stereo!!!,

This is one of the most overlooked punk albums of the 90's, from one of punks most overlooked bands. The CDs warning sticker lays claim that This is the loudest album ever recorded and I believe it (unless there are experimental artists out there that have tried to record frequencies that destroy your stereo). Filled with loud, distorted, feedback, Ramones-esq power stomps like Jet Generation, Teenage U.F.O and Cosmic Space Girl. Its a manic blend of surf guitar, rockabilly and garage punk which is as extreme as their native lands game shows.

First of all, in my opinion, this is Guitar Wolf's best album. If you like them, like the Ramones, 77 style punk, or just plain love rock n roll - BUY THIS. right away.
If you dont get it like certain "music fans", then dont bring down the overall rating of this album by complaining about the feedback, the noise, the sheer volume, the vocals - ANY PART OF THIS ALBUM. you just dont get it. Tune in to some easy listening station and proceed to tune out the violent beauty of some of the best rock n roll ever made - in Japan or anywhere else. Say what you will of the production values, this stuff is raw, fun, powerful and LOUD. If you want glossy pruduction values go listen to mainstream rap or a boy band. Guitar Wolf will offer none of that type of plastic comfort. This is true rock n roll.
