Not a real technical piece of equipment, but it is 3" on both sides, the hose fit easliy over each end and the wire clamps fit snuggly, putting it all together.

Using the splice allowed for use of the entire hose, especially since I cut the ten foot section into exact lengths for the different equipment and branches on the DC system.
