This review is from: Jet JW1041 3-Inch - 2-1/2-Inch Reducer (Tools & Home Improvement)
This fitting is well made, just like the rest of the Jet dust collection fittings. I am using this on a Delta Sanding station. The output port size of the sander is 3 inches. This fits in snugly. My dust collection hose is a standard flexible 2 1/2", and that falls inside this reducer snugly as well. So there you have it. This is actually a male fitting for a 3" opening, and a female fitting for a 2 1/2" opening.Hope this helps.

Reduce hose size, fits shop vac fittings,

If you need to step down in the DC system, which is recommended, this works great. The ends are to size stated, the hose fit easily and the wire clamps put it all together snuggly. The fitting allows you to step down from a larger main line to smaller branch lines near the machine, thus increasing the air suction, where it's needed most, by the machine. Also, a lot of shop vac fittings are the 2 1/2 inch size. |
