I use "Jet Pilots" in my sixth grade middle school classroom. It is exciting and holds the interest of my energetic students. This video is useful to inspire them and to teach character building as well as for giving them reasons to stay away from drugs. The filming is excellent. Ed Flanagan shows real life pilots who are flying exciting maneuvers (almost stomach turning),on screen, and who speak about their profession. There is also a helpful Teacher's Discussion and Resource Guide included with the teacher's video. I highly recommend this fine offering to the public.

What's it like to be a pilot? This video does a great job of introducing young viewers to the world of aviation by taking us into the cockpits of several aircraft including a 767 and an F-16. Before takeoff, we meet the pilots who talk about their vocation and share insights that will be interesting for young viewers who may be thinking about how aviation could fit into their future. The pilots emphasize the importance of goal-setting, dedication and hard work.

But the video is not all talk. Once in the cockpit, we're off for several exciting rides and are treated to some great photography.

This is the kind of video that could well ignite a vision that leads to a career!

Part of the reliable "DreamQuest" series, I thought this was worth watching. There were some cool shots and this short film was of high quality. I would definitely recommend it.

Another fine video from the reliable DreamQuest Series. This interesting piece of work has some great shots and is generally well-made. A must-see for future pilots.

This video has many good photos and narratives from pilots at the Colorado Springs Air Force Academy. Beginning with glider flying and later with fighter jet flying. There's a couple of doses of anti-drug use propaganda in the movie. My child pretty much absorbs movies and at age 3, I don't want him extolling "Nancy Reagan" lessons and I believe it's doubtful he'll be taking drugs at his young age. I found the movie disapppointing in that it was way too short in length. I was suprised that it ended so abruptly and without digging deeper in to the "stealth" fighters and more advanced aircraft that we caught glimpses of in the movie's beginning. If I previewed this movie, I probably would have passed on it.
