I purchased this book for my middle school age daughter last year. She had been playing flute for about 3 years. She has been to a couple Jethro Tull concerts and had much exposure to their music since I have been a Tull fan for many many years. She was delighted (as was I) to find out that she could play the music at first sight read. And, it sounded just like the record! There is a preface that explains how to do some of the unusual techniques that Ian uses, which really seemed to help her since she is classically trained. I feel this book is very well done and would definitely recommend it to any flute playing Jethro Tull fan. When will book II be out!?!?

I bought this book for my 15 year old son for Christmas. He absolutly loves it. He is learning to play the music now. :)

Bought this for my daughter. The music is very well transcribed. Could have chosen a better selection. There are some tracks that even I was wondering which album they came off of. It had the music for the songs I wanted, so it wasn't a waste. Review the table of contents to insure it has the tracks you want.

This is a fantastic flute music book. I am a beginner but can play several of the songs. If you are a flute player or just a fan of Jethro Tull or Ian Anderson, don't hesitate to get this.

This books was the first music book I ever bought for my flute playing, and I got it a day after getting my flute. I Love this book, and I still play songs from it (from memory) on a day to day basis!
although I can't figure out where the passion play part is in the song...

Bought this book for Bouree which was well transcribed (transcription 4*), but which I also could've downloaded from the web!

Nevertheless, good to have. As it is. 4 stars.
Loved loved loved Bouree. Hvg the score helps one decipher the difficult parts.
It's a pity I don't know the rest of the songs.

This is ok but it does not include Aqualung or some of the other well known Tull tunes.

Well, if you know that giving this as a gift will make someone happy, then go for it. I assumed that this would have a bit more than just the sheet music for solos only. What it lacks is the music for the whole of each song. But, being as Jethro Tull is nothing more that a Genesis (Peter Gabriel days) knock-off, it doesn't really matter. Jethro Tull sucks!!!
