This is a book showing the airliners and liveries of many airlines. It's broken down by global region. The pictures are on the whole very good although some you can see are slides/prints that may have been blown up too much because you see film grain. Also this book was published in the late 1990s so it is over 10 years old. But it is a great period history of airliners and airlines at that time. It's also got a lot of pictures and only as much words as needed so you will have a great time just looking and not having to read as much but those who wish to read the captions will find much valuable info.

John K. Morton, you've scored five stars again. If you read an earlier review of mine relating to Flying Freighters, you'll undoubtedly understand how much I appreciate the way the author uses spectaculate camera equipment to take fabulous snapshots. But this book, yet another fantastic portfolio of Morton's really brings home how fascinating such big jetliners are. The book is split into various chapters for various countries, and a very wide range of aircraft is included in the thick, though expensive paper back: including Tupolev, Boeing, MD and L. Martin workhorses from the sixties to the millenium. Finally, if you're not a big one for such a lot of writing, this book is certainly for you: a minimum amount of writing is dwarfed by 268 pixel imagery of all manueovers, my personal favourite being the photos taken in the time Morton spent in Hong Kong's Kai Tak International Airport. This really is a book I won't want to forget, and I'll repeat what I said at the start: John K. Morton, you've done it again!

This book is ok. It has some very nice pictures. I wouldn't rush out to buy it.
