Product Description
JEVITY 1.5 CAL is a calorically dense liquid food with a patented fiber blend that provides complete, balanced nutrition. Concentrated calories (1.5 Cal/mL) to help tube-fed patients gain and maintain healthy weight. 22 g of dietary fiber in 1 liter (12 g of a patented soluble and insoluble fiber blend and 10 g of fructooligosaccharides [FOS]), which helps meet daily fiber needs. Fiber helps moderate bowel function. Includes 2.4 g of FOS/8 fl oz (10 g/L and 15 g/1500 mL). FOS are prebiotics that stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria in the colon. Meets or exceeds 100% of the DVs for 24 essential vitamins and minerals in 1500 Cal (1 liter).

If it wasn't for Jevity 1.5 I would have died. I contracted Dysphagia in April and I weighted 126 pounds when I was placed with a peg. The Doctor recommended Jevity 1.5. With Jevity I now weigh 140 pounds. I highly recommend Jevity 1.5. If anyone knows how to treat Dysphagia please let me know.

Hubby had to get stomach peg tube for feeding purposes since he has lost the capability of swallowing due to stroke. Easy to use, use 5 to 6 cans a day, so can get expensive using 2 cases a week. Only dislike is that it does stain material of bedding or clothing even when using bleach in washing machine.

Have been using Jevity 1.5 for over 1 year with excellent results. Only problem is an excess of severely dented cans. Since the cans themselves seem to be very strong these dents would have required some form of a very strong impact. This may or may not affect the contents?
They do however make one wonder if the manufacturer and/or handler have such sloppy quality control on the outside what about the inside which I am already using to feed an ill patient?

This is the individual size can. Much easier then a big bottle...Also, you would think that the bottles would be cheaper but, they are not. The cans were cheaper, arrived within 36 hours and easy to use.

the cans come all dented. I don't like the texture, but I mix it with choc syrup and can get it down, I should be drinking six a day but it is to filling, so I only manage to do three. It has helped me stabilize my weight. I would recommend it for someone who is ill and losing weight.
