I'm a beginner with making accessories, and this was absolutely awesome in helping me start off with making jewelry of different kinds.

Round nose - Looks like all the other round nose pliers and it is so useful for making jump rings or winding wire or shaping things.

this is my first attempt at jewelry making so i wanted a beginner's tool that didn't cost me $$$. this is GREAT!!

1. Cutter - As other reviewer noted, it's not flush with the side of the tool, but it works great! i tried it out on a 20 gauge wire from artistic wire. cut through so smoothly!

2. Round nose - Looks like all the other round nose pliers and it is so useful for making jump rings or winding wire or shaping things.

3. Flatten - This is my only negative star because the flat portion is actually a little uneven. it fully closes more tightly on one side (the cutter side), but the difference is less than 1mm. I was trying to flatten the 20 gauge wire, but this is probably my amateur status coming out. I'll have to hammer the wire.

4. Close jump ring - haven't tried it yet, but i'm sure it works great since the grooves align perfectly.

5. Ergonomic - bonus! it's the ergonomic version of this tool. apparently, there's a cushioned version, but this is the ergonomic one.

Great price for a great tool! WIN!

I am not a professional and wanted a tool to change over ear wires and make minor adjustments. These pliers are great and inexpensive, and are easy to work with.

I have gotten some good use from these. Having so many functions combined into one tool is very convenient both in terms of usability and because it means carrying around fewer tools. My only complaints are that the joint has grown looser over time and the tips of the pliers no longer meet as they should -- they still touch, but with one nose off to the side instead of directly on top of the other like they did before; and the wire cutters have also grown somewhat duller which makes cutting wires a bit of a chore unless they're really thin. I can't truly fault them because for the price they've been brilliant, but I did expect them to hold up a little bit longer before wearing out. I've used them for several months, but I only spend a few evenings each month using them.

I've been making jewelry for years. I didn't invest much in tools upfront and was typically using 4 at a time, including some from my tool box, awkwardly trading them off while I worked. I had a pair of Blue Moon Beads (BMB) that were similar to these and I never really got the hang of them or understood why they were supposed to be so ideal for jewelry-making. Having bought the BeadSmith pliers, I now get it. These are good quality, easy to work with and put the Blue Moon Beads pliers (which I've since Freecycled) to shame. Now that I have these, I don't trade off tools nearly so often since the BeadSmith pliers can do most of the tasks I need.

I love these pliers. I can do so much with just the one pair. I initially bought them just to help me with closing jump rings, but I find it great that they can do so much more. Great buy!

I was skeptical at first in getting this item, because one reviewer stated that it didn't cut really well. But i got it anyway, i didn't have any problems with cutting wires with it, it cut my very thin to not so thin wires, i love how it's one item for all, and it does it all without any problems. So i really love my plier!

I absolutely love this four in one tool. One thing I always struggle with are consistent sized loops. This tool has two lines so I don't have to worry about this dilemma anymore.

The pliers shown have "ergonomic" molded handles. The ones I received have plain dipped handles. The ones pictured have a nice finish, and look decent. The ones I got have a horrible finish, and the tips are bent. The action is horrible, draggy, and sticks both open and closed. Worthless, awful.
