A great tour of famous horseracing facilities.,
By Mary Anne Tarver (Chicago area, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Crown Jewels of Thoroughbred Racing (Hardcover)
This is a beautiful book, filled with the talented Mr. Reeve's paintings of famous race horses posed against the background of famous race tracks. I thoroughly enjoyed his narration of how and why he chose to paint each horse at each track. If you enjoyed Royal Blood, you will enjoy this book also. It is well worth purchasing - for your own collection or as a special gift.

A Beautiful Book From A Masterful Painter,
This review is from: Crown Jewels of Thoroughbred Racing (Hardcover)
This is an absolutely must book of paintings for Thoroughbred racing fans. Some of the most famous portraits of racers painted by artist Richard Stone Reeves are featured in this coffee-table book.
For those who are not familiar with the work of Reeves, let me assure you that this book may be the closest you will get to owning one of his portraits. Crown Jewels of Thoroughbred Racing is a winner with daylight & well worth the price. |
