Since the beginning of the diaspora, the myriad of communities throughout the world where Jews settled have influenced Jewish life and art. A lovely coffee-table book. Weighs a ton! While the pictures are beautiful, there are surpringly few of them. Even the text is scantier than might be expected -- the type is very large! What's there is fine -- but for the price I might have expected more.
