From Library Journal
This collection of essays (previously published in SIBIC , a Christian/Jewish dialog journal) show how time--both Sabbath/Sunday time and individual life cycle time--is sanctified through "the Jewish liturgical life lived so faithfully by Jesus and his followers" and by the Christian liturgy that developed from these roots. These essays further interfaith dialog and deepen our understanding of one faith tradition in contrast with another (e.g., thanksgiving for the blessings of this life versus concern for an afterlife in funeral liturgies).
