5.0 out of 5 stars A selection of the writing of a major Jewish thinker, April 1, 2005
This review is from: The Jewish Thought of Emil Fackenheim: A Reader (Hardcover)
This is a selection of the writings of Emil Fackenheim one of the major Jewish thinkers of the twentieth century. Fackenheim is perhaps most well- known for his six- hundred and fourteenth commandment: ( It is forbidden to grant the Nazis any posthumous victories) He often builds his Jewish thought on Midrashic readings and the result is an original and deep Jewish thought. His love of Jerusalem and Israel are also a strong part of his work.

This is an excellent selection of his work made by one of his foremost students.
