Review
Jewish Women Speak Out: Expanding The Boundaries Of Psychology is divided into four broad categories: Setting the Frame; Identity Development; Therapeutic Encounters; and Contemporary Topics. Some authors struggle with issues of identity; defining themselves as people, both in the Jewish world and in the larger society. Others grapple with issues of fear; dealing with the realties of external and internalized anti-Semitism. The issues of visibility, invisibility and over visibility weave through all the sections. The explorations of these themes helps to make Jewish women understood from their own perspectives rather than through the perspectives of other people who have attempted to define them. --
