This is a heavily censored version of Dr. Luther's work,
By
This review is from: The Jews and Their Lies (Paperback)
The typical neo-Nazi take on Martin Luther's writing about Judaism and Judaics is to cut out anything critical of the German people, or in praise of Judaic people, or any other moderating, judicious or reasonable dimension to Luther's theses.
This is the case with this censored, hack version of "On the Jews and their Lies." Luther always sought to convert Judaics to Christ and was solicitous of their spiritual welfare, and Luther was often highly critical of German gentiles. Moreover, his early writing on this theme was titled "Jesus Christ was born a Jew" and he did not alter this position even late in his life. The uncensored edition of "On the Jews and their Lies," translated as Luther wrote it, contains nothing that is unscriptural, and was a salutary influence on Christianity, helping Christians to resist the worldly temptation to fail to tell the truth about rabbinic Judaism, (the modern heir of the ideology of the ancient Pharisees). Unfortunately, this redacted parody of Luther's book is a disservice to him and a type of falsification just as underhanded as anything ever perpetrated by the rabbis. (Michael Hoffman is the author of "Judaism Discovered").

Do Not Misunderstand Luther...,
By ND Protestant (CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Jews and Their Lies (Paperback)
Being of Jewish decent myself, and understanding how tempting it is to accuse this Reformer of anti-semitism, it is extremely important that one doesn't jump to that conclusion as a result of reading this work. Martin Luther, at the start of his ministry, was pleased that the Jews had not become "Christians" because of the false doctrines that were being perpetrated by the Catholic Church of the 16th century. But after he had a chance to start the Reformation, and the Jews still did not believe in Christ as the promised Messiah, Luther grew perplexed and upset. In this book we do not see a man engaged in racial prejudice, but religious anger. He was not anti-semetic (racist), but anti-Jewish (in the doctrinal sense). His comments are therefore to be taken with a grain of salt and his anger needs to be seen in the light of his frustration with all false teachers - both Jewish and Catholic. Do not read this unless you can understand Luther's reasons for writing such a piece. He could just as easily written a book entitled "Catholics and their Lies" or "Muslims and their Lies" and could have called for the burning down of their places of worship too. In fact, he spent his entire life ministry fighting false doctrine and especially, false teachers.

An horrible abridgement.,
This review is from: The Jews and Their Lies (Paperback)
From the introduction, the offensive artwork and the ham-fisted condensing of the text, the publisher's obvious intent is to titillate ignorant bigots.
The editor and/or translators took care to retain all of Luther's inflammatory invectiveness while omitting his logical arguments and scriptural proofs. There are several sections where brief, parenthetical denotations acknowledge significant omissions in the text, such as "[Here follow lengthy theological treatises based on numerous passages from scripture]" (p. 15). By condescending design, the reader is presented the pure vitriol without any of that egghead Bible and logic stuff that might provide distracting historical and theological context. Luther's tract On the Jews and Their Lies is a worthwhile read for anyone with serious interest in the Protestant Reformation. Unfortunately, this Liberty Bell Publications edition is essentially worthless in terms of scholarship. If, however, you just want a little booklet to reinforce anti-Semetic stereotypes, this is a great choice.

An interesting Mixture of Historic Testemony,

This review is from: The Jews and Their Lies (Paperback)
Very short book (70 pgs. with illustrations) I'm told by others that read German that this is not a faithfully complete English translation. The title is the place to start. In reference to the identity victimization of the naive Judaic culture who are also being played, it should have been called "The Deceived Fake Jews and Their Lies".Evidently, in compliance to God's commands (Ref. Mat. 16:1-12) Luther, in conjunction with the German intelligentsia, was well aware of the rabbinic subversion of the Roman Catholic Church and society as he, as-well-as his peers, was familiar with the racist Talmudic doctrines and consequential Utopian civil moral degradation and debouched behavior. On that note briefly, just look at the American-Zionist or French-Zionist or Dutch-Zionist or German-Zionist or Canadian-Zionist social-engineered cultural parallels over the last 40 or so years for more modern equivalents. In any ideologically infected society, The **majority ** of the cultural make-up go from civil liberty to regulated oppression, from internal peace to internal and externally supported violence, from morals to immorality, from being plentiful to impoverishment, from beauty to starkness, from intelligence to politically-correct ignorance, from awareness to engineered naivete, all areas degenerate; as Dennis Fahey puts it in the context of a nation's natural resource capacity of provision, "deprivation in the midst of abundance". Getting back to the text at hand, until the process assumptions and movement was subverted, returning to the written tradition affected a temporary negation of the "progress" of the racist utopian deception dominion. The problem that M.L. didn't avoid, reflecting his false history reference points, was his referring to these post 550 A.D. anti-covenant, non-Hebrew, non-semite, mother-lineage based counterfeits as "Jews" (Ref. Rev. 2:9; 3:9) as is now granted and taught in the Zionist-funded seminaries and pulpits throughout the world assuming that God IS a respecter of persons while He states that He is not (Ref. Deu. 1:17, 16:19; 2 Chr. 19:17; Pro. 24:23, 28:21; Act. 10:34; Rom. 2:10, 11; Eph. 6:9; Col. 3:25; 1 Pet. 1:17). There NEVER was a "necessary" corollary between being a Hebrew (part of the historic tribal construct destroyed by God as promised shortly after 175 A.D.) and being a "Jew". Correctly understood, the relational name "Jew" was established as the "covenant" name for ANYONE (from any tribe, kindred, tongue and nation) relating to God within his established (and blood ratified on the cross) Abrahamic Covenant. The cyclical destruction of large segments of the Hebrew tribes for their apostasy from the Abrahamic covenant and their consequential behavior - into the "oral traditions" as recorded within the O.T. is one of the many examples to exemplify that. Simply choosing to believe the lie and acting upon its false premises', they and their ideological progeny, deceived by their reverenced Babylonian sages have never had lawful excuse before the God of Abraham for being ignorant of that. In failing to make the distinction, at least in an unintentional defacto sense, he helped foster the "racist" identity-theft and its progressive subversive and manipulative uses within the post-500 A.D. newly-engineered (non-semitic) ideologically as-opposed-to lineage-based Judaic and non-judaic communities. His observations as factually correct citations of data (but unpopular in the Zionist-controlled West) tend to foster within the carnal consensus-think post Christendom cultures, the anti-judaic (spin-played as the "anti-semitism" nonsequator) spirit that is "necessary" to fuel the well-funded institutionalized evil that he sought to expose and nullify. Without helpful distinction and negation qualifiers, people (as naive socially-engineered victims of the history rewrite and spin) process the info according to their imbibed popular false assumptions, many of which have been taught from the zino-subverted and zino-created pulpits within churcheanity on the one hand as-well-as within the Judaic social (presented to the ignorant masses' as "public" institutions) and religious institutions on the other. The book at a minimum expresses Luther's frustration of the Judaic community in how they behave **in so far as they've been indoctrinated** both culturally and individually into their anti-semitic dualistic double-minded Talmudic-based ideology when consistently applied. (Ref. Pro. 23:7a) "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he." Ironically, the very foundationally-false contra-historic mother-lineage genealogical assumption (usually taught from youth so as to remain unscrutinized) is sufficient to bind people to the very anti-semitic anti-Abrahamic racist mind-set that has always, through its deception, enslaved them. As mentioned by one of the other reviewers, in agreement, I didn't think that the cover picture was helpful in fostering anything but anti-Judaic backlash and further division. While it may be applicable as an illustration of the tenor of the Zoharite ideology (written by Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai) as applied consistently by Sabbatai Zevi in it's negation of God's laws (personal and civil psychopathy?) summarized in the ten commandments (as Zevi required incestuous sex between family members as a proof of faithfulness in his followers) believing him as another in the long list of reincarnated "fake" messiahs (Ref. Mat. 24:5; Mar. 13:6; 1 Jhn. 2:18) the latest dead one being Menachem Mendel Schneerson. Most of the ignorant mass don't know of the historical context behind the illustration as they've been fed the official propaganda from their subverted religious and educational institutions thus rendering a viewing of it as offensive through the lenses of their socially-engineered false assumptions.

Martin Luther Exposes the Talmud,
By
This review is from: The Jews and Their Lies (Paperback)
As a Christian, it was interesting to read that Dr. Martin Luther was aware of the Babylonian Talmud, and understandably opposed to these man made teachings. He was trying to make a point and open the eyes of Christians to just how evil this aspect of Jewish teaching actually is, compared to the Torah (and the US Constitution for that matter). Read "Jesus in the Talmud" or "Judaism Discovered" by Hoffman for more.
I agree with other reviewers that much information was omitted that might have been helpful in understanding Dr. Luther's point of view more clearly, but I am thankful for a dedicated Christian who was trying to shed light on teachings including the Talmud. It is shameful that most Pastors are too ignorant or too "politically correct" to expose these teachings as part of Judaism, and instead blindly support the state of Israel. Christians are taught to humbly pray and work toward the best for each person, not to take advantage of the weak, be arrogant, condone or encourage corruption and murder, so it is difficult to understand that there are religions that do self-righteously, "justify" evil. I do have a problem with the book in all Jews being lumped together as Talmudic Jews, the insulting art work in the book, and thank GOD for those Jews who are not part of this Talmudic belief system that is diametrically opposed to the Word of God.

Every christian should read this book as well as it should be taught in every christian school. Whenever anyone tells the truth about the jews they scream anti-semitism and this book although condensed tells the truth that any christian who knows his bible already should know. Luther referenced the bible for every point he made and even more tragic is that this book pertains to todays world more that it did in Luthers time. The re-educators and revisionists of today will call this book evil, vile, neo nazi, book of lies etc. but the fact is, its full of facts. Just like the the aledged "holocaust", which those of you who are learned know the popular one the jews ram down everyones throat is actually their second claim of a "holocaust", the first one they claimed happened in Russia back in the very early 1900's and their claim was over 20 million jews were murdered in that fake holocaust, anytime or anything written about them can never debated and facts or investigations cannot not be used against them. Evry jew loves to bash luther for telling the truth much like they did with Mel Gibson. But most of you dont remember the evil vile war that was waged against Mel Gibson by the jews of the world for wanting to make the movie Passion of the Christ, all you ignorant sheeple know is what the zionist media force feed you about Gibsons drunken rant. Forget what you have been programmed to think, read this book fact check it against your bible and then realize the truths in this book.

I have read this first hand experience book by 16c Christian Dr. Martin Luther, it was his last book he ever wrote, he wrote it in his late 40's early 50's. "The Jews And Their Lies"
Its a short book with fast hitting historical truths from first hand accounts... It is credible, and forward moving. It is so insightful, so invigorating, so refreshing! It's as relevant today as it ever was back then. It's a must read for anyone interested in understanding Khazars -( also known as Ashkenazim Jews, ) not to be mixed up with Hebrews -( better known today as Sephardim Jews ) This book go's over the motives and aims of Khazars over the last 1200 years...

This review is from: The Jews and Their Lies (Paperback)
I am a Lutheran Deacon who is part Jew by ethnicity. I have always understood that Luther's anger was over the jewish rejection of the Gospel. This book makes that clear. Some other reviewers are "knee Jerk" in their reaction to the work of Luther. The ironic thing is it was Luther's love for the jewish people that made him so long for their redemption. I don't agree with everything Luther said, but he was not motivated by race. He simply railed against things which he saw as an affront to the Gospel.

If you're interested in how religion can promote institutionalized bigotry, then Martin Luther's attacks on Jewry may be of considerable - and legitimate - interest. But you should not buy this edition.
First published in 1543, "The Jews and Their Lies" is Martin Luther at his worst, spewing hateful vituperation against the Jews and denouncing them in crude terms as blasphemers, liars, and murderers. Luther calls for depriving Jews of their homes (p. 38) and running them out of the country. (pp. 43, 57). Luther suggests that Jews' schools and homes should be burnt, (p. 38), their synagogues destroyed, (p.53), their books taken from them, (p.53), and their Rabbis prohibited to teach. (pp. 38-39). He says they should be denied safe passage on the highways. (p. 39). This truly is a hateful and despicable text - one that causes today's Lutherans considerable discomfort and embarrassment. I am happy to report that the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has issued statements that both repudiate Luther's anti-Semitic diatribes, and "particularly deplore the appropriation of Luther's works by modern anti-Semites." The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America has also warned that Luther's anti-Semitic venom is being published and sold today by groups bent on promoting hatred of the Jews. And that is why you should avoid purchasing this "Liberty Bell Publications" edition. Look up a scholarly edition instead. If you must read Luther's rant, you can find it in "Luther's Works: The Christian in Society IV," edited by Franklin Sherman. See Luther's Works Christian in Society IV (Luther's Works) (Luther's Works). This is volume 47 in the 55-volume edition of "Luther's Works" published by the Concordia Publishing House and Fortress Press. See Luther's Works Volumes 1 - 55 (Volumes 1 - 55). That 55-volume collection also is available on CD. See Luther's Works on Cd-Rom (Luther & Lutheranism). In the scholarly edition you get a thirteen-page introduction by Franklin Sherman, placing Luther's anti-Semitic texts in historical context. You get a superior scholarly translation by Martin H. Bertram - much better than the anonymous translation reproduced in the Liberty Bell edition. You also get the full text of Luther's diatribe. Much is missing from the poorly edited Liberty Bell edition, which comes to roughly sixty pages. In the expertly edited scholarly edition , despite smaller print, "The Jews and Their Lies" spans nearly 170 pages. And it includes Franklin Sherman's scholarly annotations - more than 200 footnotes in all - giving greater context and meaning. Those who genuinely want to understand this text will want to get the scholarly edition. But above all, by using the scholarly edition you do not support the work of the Liberty Bell Press - as a purveyor of hatred. Eric Alan Isaacson P.S., While you are at it, you may want to check out Franklin Sherman's Luther and the Jews: A fateful legacy, Peter F. Weiner's Martin Luther: Hitler's Spiritual Ancestor, and William Montgomery's From Luther to Hitler: The History of Fascist-Nazi Political Philosophy. Just don't buy this edition of Luther's hateful attack on the Jews. |
