Go DOWNLOAD THIS, don't buy it!,

i'm from 7a's hometown and have roadied, travelled, and known everyone in this band (former members as well) for a while. they're my best friends. i love this record too. it's amazing. it helped redefine several summers of my life. the sing-a-longs are awesome (you can hear me and andy hurley from fall out boy, in there) and the pretty parts are damn moving... but still a mosh record. having said all that, i still say DON'T EVER BUY THIS CD! go download it! the owner of the label, Sean Uprising, doesn't pay the former members a single cent in royalties!! that dude is why hardcore sucks now. don't ever support Uprising Records or buy any of their releases. download that shizz, cuz in this case, NONE OF THE BANDS ON THIS LABEL ARE PAID ANYWAY!!! that's a fact.

tho this band has christian members in it, 7a7p isnt a christian band, i thought this was known. their demo had more of a crisp sound and a better singer. this is still a good cd tho.

7a7p is from Milwaukee,
By Jeffrey Rivers (Milwaukee, WI) - See all my reviews

7a7p is from Milwaukee, they released only one full length album on Uprising Records. Similar to Skycamefallings revered 10.21 album. They are similar because A: They are both masterpieces B: The structure is almost identical for both albums and C: both of the groups only released one major album. Short instrumentals like "Afternoon" really set a mood for the entire album and give you a feeling of what the album is all about. I wouldn't put it past me to say that 7a7p was heavily influenced by bands such as Poison the Well, Snapcase, and Earth Crisis but who wasn't? This is one of the most underappreciated hardcore albums of the decade. 7a7p split in late 2002, but members went on to play in many other bands namely Misery Signals and Dead to Fall.

A Farewell To The Perfect Metalcore Band,
By Bill Lumbergh "yeaahh..." (Initech) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jhazmyne's Lullaby (Audio CD)
Yes, I am a big fan of up-and-coming hardcore-metal hybrid bands, and 7 Angels 7 Plagues is definitely one of the important bands in this genre. However, I could not find this album anywhere, so I went to my friend's house and downloaded some tracks from this album. I only had to listen to one track to be blown away by the energy these guys delivered.
The song, "A Farewell To A Perfect Score", is a definite metalcore anthem, with its perfectly placed breakdowns and its post-hardcore elements in there. For only a 9-song CD, you will hear what every other metalcore band wished they could be. Sadly, they have been no more since September 2002, but former members of this band now play in the bands Dead To Fall and Misery Signals, which I both recommend checking out. Now that this CD is out of print, you must do anything to get it. If you blow a ridiculous twenty-something bucks on it, it's worth it. If you had to kill somebody for it, it's worth it. To make it short: IT'S WORTH YOUR TIME.

Solid debut.,

7 angels 7 plagues have created a wonderful debut full length. Their sound can be compared to other great artists such as poison the well, twelve tribes, unearth and perhaps even zao. Although they can be compared to those artists they definitely have their own unique sound. First off let's just say 7 angels 7 plagues is a Christian band but they would definitely eat you alive. The vocalist has an amazing low growl scream, the guitars are near flawless, and the drumming is absolutely fantastic which fits every song nicely. 'Jhazmyne's lullaby' has a nice blend of great metalcore and melodic hardcore to declare this one of 2001's best.

Good band,

This is a good metal band. My band played a show with them in Michigan, and they play tight metal with a fair amount of down-time (softer parts). If you like the fusion of hardcore and metal, you'll like them.
