Like many other women with silver-y streaks, I've tried most of the "silver brightening"-type shampoos available, from inky blue-violet to creamy lavender in color, from low to very high in price. This is the best I've tried and I'm sticking with it. It's mild, cleansing, subtle enough in color concentration to use daily, with a pleasant, light fragrance. To top it off, the huge bottle is one of the best beauty bargains around. I have a lot of fine, wavy, unprocessed hair; I usually use this without a conditioner to avoid flat-hair syndrome, but if your hair is dry or highlighted, check out the conditioner too. The conditioner is more strongly scented, too much so for my liking, but tastes differ and it is cheap enough to try without regret.

Is your hair white like mine? I tried Jhirmack Silver Brightening Shampoo, following the directions, and my hair shines brightly. It is clean and has plenty of volume. This is really good shampoo for white hair.

Not only for grey hair, but also lovely for bright white highlights. Best if you leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes in the shower. EXCELLENT PRODUCT--you'll love it and I've tried them all.....

This product is great. Really neutralies the yellowing. Hair is very manageable and shows the different shades of silver/grey with lots of shine. I'm glad I switch products. I also get great compliments from total strangers on how healthy and beautiful my hair is for being it's natural color.

We love this stuff but it's a darn shame that we have to buy it on the internet and pay the high, high postage for its weight. I don't know, is this company in league with the postal services and that's why they took it out of stores??!! Pantene doesn't stack up. We've found no good substitute. The product is great - none better - but using the internet to get it really stinks!

I think this shampoo is great! I was using Shimmer Lights Shampoo for the brassiness of my highlights. Randomly found this shampoo at walmart and decided to buy it because I was out of my shimmer light and had to special order shimmer lights from Amazon for $12/bottle. I tried this Jhirmack shampoo and I love it, it looks exactly the same as shimmer lights (its a purple shampoo) and works wonderfully. It is overpriced on amazon, I bought a 13.6 oz bottle for less than $3.00 at Wal-Mart.

I was suprised to see some bad reviews, but one thing I will mention is shampoo's like these are not meant to be used every single day. They draw the yellow/brassiness out of your hair, if you use it every day I am sure it will make your hair look awful, I am sure that is why people rated this shampoo bad, they were probably using it every day without knowing its not a good thing to do. I usually use it 2 days on, 1 day off, but can be used as often as you feel it needs to be. You might only need to use it once or twice a week.

Also, one bad review I read said it smelt HORRIBLE, and just to make sure I just re-sniffed my shampoo :)~ it smells good to me, i mean I can refrain from eating it... lol but wouldnt come close to saying it smells bad at all.

I have grey hair and yellowing, and have tried several brightening shampoos, but Jhirmack Silver is far the best. Have great results and is not a heavy shampoo. Thanks

I have tried many different shampoos for my silver hair but this is the only one that has given me the results that I was looking for. Therefore I would highly recommend it if you a little or a lot of gray or silver hair.

I always used Pantene's Silver Expressions for my hair. Pantene did an excellent job of eliminating any yellowing of my hair. They no longer manufacture that product to my chagrin. I have only used Jhirmack a few times. I think it's working but it doesn't give my hair the same feeling. The hair is not yellowing but does not have the silver sheen that Pantene gave it. It also took much longer to receive than the promised date.

I love this shampoo! I have very long hair and people compliment me on how shiny and silver it is. This shampoo really makes a difference.
