Jiffy J4000i Steamertakes a while to heat up but once your there the steam is hot and has a continous flow. I used it once and threw my old steamer out.

I like my steamer so much that I threw out the iron. Before, I couldn't press a tie properly, now I can. Just in general, it's so much faster to use a steamer than an iron. It's great for a quick press on sport coat sleeves. It easily removes the wrinkles from the crotches of slacks. It doesn't put a dreaded shine on gabardine the way the iron did. And, it's great for disinfecting fabric items.

We love our steamer.... I dont have a problem using it but my husband does have a little trouble with his dress shirts but he is still learning.
Its been great for cleaning.. the only drawback I have found is the 5ft hose could be a little longer, 7ft would be perfect.

Bought the Jiffy Steamer to replace my Target cheapo Rowenta Valet. There's no comparison between the two products. Jiffy has a much better build quality aluminum used for all the attachment heads very impressed with craftsmanship. You realize the quality the minute you pull out of the box.

Performance wise, this steamer doesn't disappoint. It get very hot high steam pressure removes wrinkles and odors instantly. Even better, the 4000 model comes with accessories for cleaning removing dirt and grime without cleaning chemicals it works great just be careful of woods with clear sealers.

The biggest thing you need to be aware of with this model is it takes approximately 10-15 minutes to heat up. There's two settings on the bottom of the steamer: preheat and on. There's a red light that turns off letting you know its ready. My advice....if you plan using the steamer for clothes in the morning then turn on (not preheat) and by the time your out of the shower its close to ready. Otherwise, there's other models from Jiffy that don't clean but heat up in minutes. They're just not the same build quality and accessories as this model so expect more plastic on other models.

This is a solid, heavy, full-metal construction tank. Heats up in 15 minutes on preheat, ready to steam in 2 minutes or less. I cannot get over how solid and well-made the Jiffy steamer is. Wrinkles fall out immediately. The only reason it gets 4 stars is because the hose, at 5 1/2 feet, is a little short to maneuver and sometimes awkward when having to stop and move the machine closer to the current task to get a good angle on the item being steamed. A 7 1/2 foot hose should be standard; 5 1/2 won't reach drapes and high spots. Machine is nice and quiet, barely a hum; no spitting and hissing, minimal dripping. Excellent machine, highly recommended.

The "I" should include a 7.5 ft hose and 4 interchangeable attachments, not a 5 ft hose? I don't have one, but the previous review contradicts Jiffy Steamer's own desc for the model.
