13 years into their career, their masterpiece, December 27, 2002
This review is from: Jiggery-Pokery (Audio CD)
The title above says it all. Anyone familiar with TBW knows that this is their pinnacle. For those unfamiliar, think "Mummer" era XTC, a quieter My Bloody Valentine, a more earthy New Order, or (as has been said before elsewhere), a sad Beatles! Quite simply, if you ever loved any of the above mentioned giants, or crave well-crafted, intelligent and melancholy pop (as I do), you need this album.

One Gorgeous Pop Record to Luxuriate in, January 24, 2008
This review is from: Jiggery-Pokery (Audio CD)
It's everything Mr. Bonner said it is and more. A great record to lie around on a sunny lazy weekend afternoon with some lemonade, or a rainy Tuesday evening curled up with a book and a lap cat. I hear some later-stage Go-Betweens musical stirrings in there as well. Good production values enhance these pop gems. Add The Black Watch's "Jiggery-Pokery" to your collection now. You'll be very happy that you did.
