Who says poetry is boring? This is a nice way to introduce little ones to poetry. The illustrations will appeal to babies and toddlers in particular, as will the light-hearted nonsense verse. "Jiggle joggle, jiggle joggle, jiggle joggle jee!"

My son is almost two and requests this book often! Though he can't pronounce the words very well, he seems to really love the playfulness and repetition of the words. It's a fun book (and a tongue-twister for parents) and a great thing to bring out the silliness in all of us. I'd highly recommend it.

This adaptation of the old poem "Jiggle Joggle Jee" follows tots on an imaginatary ride on a toy train. This rollicking rhyme trips off the tongue and charms young readers. Very good for building phonemic awareness and letting children complete the sentences due to predictable text. The pictures are not as snappy as the writing, but the kids liked the bright watercolors and cute baby faces just fine.

As a Children's Librarian in a public library, I am always looking for books with great read-aloud rhythm. When Jiggle Joggle Jee! came across my desk in 2001, I grabbed it for my infant and toddler story times and have read it four or five times a year since then. Babies bounce on their parents laps and toddlers clap, stomp, or jump to the wonderful beat of Laura E. Richard's poem. Read it with enthusiasm and join in the fun!

What an awesome book! We bought this for my daughter at 5 months after trying to remember the poem from when I was little. There were bouncing motions and things that my parents had done for me. I've read it to her since then (she is now 2) and she LOVES this book. The illustrations keep her enthralled as she sees new things on the pages still and she loves the poem/story. I highly recommend this book for all toddlers and babies!

this is a fun book, but takes some time for the parent to get down. Lots of fun, our daughter loves it!
