Jigsaw (or irregularly shaped) Sudoku puzzles share the same rules with classic Sudoku. The only difference is that the nine nonets are, well, irregularly shaped. This makes the puzzles slightly harder than the original Sudoku and surely more entertaining, because every puzzle has a unique nonet design and therefore, they can never become boring. In this book there are 150 of these puzzles in 5 levels of difficulty. For the hardest of puzzles you must use "The Law of Leftovers" solving method, which is explained in the introduction.

I am a math major (from way back) and have always been good with numbers. The twisted variation on Sodoko is a great idea but these puzzles are VERY difficult almost from the beginning. The author explains a technique for doing the more difficult ones that I have read and reread numerous times and still cannot figure out what he means or how to apply it. You better be a master at Sodoko and other puzzles if you expect to get beyond the first 20-30 puzzles in this book.

Yes, I am a sudoku addict, but thanks for referring to the likes of me as "master". When I first started jigsaw, I nearly gave up (Just as I nearly gave up when starting Kakuro and Killer). But the rewards are worth the sweat and perseverance! I just love the jigsaw sudokus, and I especially love Djape's creations. More please.......and of course there are just not enough KILLER JIGSAWS in this world that I can get my hands on. I have bought dozens of books (- the magazines I find at the newsagent are good for relaxation; many of the books are more interesting). But Djape's books I can always rely on for a challenging, creative puzzle - whichever type I'm currently hooked on. Need the variety too of course! ps I failed math at high school, and my general logic brain is unreliable.....
