Product Description

Jigsaw Words is a word game that challenges you to combine groups of letters into words that match the clues given.

In each Jigsaw Words puzzle, you start with a set of 10 clues. You also have a set of randomly arranged puzzle pieces with letters on them. Your goal is to solve the clues in the puzzle by arranging the puzzle pieces so that the letters form the word that matches each clue. Start with the easiest clues first. As you use each puzzle piece, it is removed from play, making it easier to find the more difficult matches. You can also shuffle the grid of puzzle pieces at any time for a different perspective.

Jigsaw Words has 100 puzzles and each puzzle has 10 clues to solve. The puzzles are organized into 10 themed categories like Holidays and Animals, and you can use the theme to help you solve the clues.

If you enjoy working with words and patterns, try Jigsaw Words and test your ability to build words today!

5.0 out of 5 stars Every Word is more challenging. August 24, 2011

I got this last night and ran through several categories very fast. I think it's too easy for adults but might be perfect for junior high kids or younger. You can get a lot of the answers here just by guessing or typing words you think might fit somewhere. I really love these Amazon word games, but I think Every Word is a lot more challenging. I'm giving it 5 stars because I know there's a target audience for this game but it wasn't me.

Im editing my review because I have to admit that I just got stumped on a few of these. Some really are a challenge for adults! This is a good game!

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but ... August 27, 2011

The game is actually fun, but the play is extremely limited; that is, it comes with a very small number of puzzles. Without a little self-restraint, you could end up doing them all in just a couple of sittings. It would be nice if there were some kind of random puzzle generator, but I don't think that's possible given the limits on the Kindle. Random puzzles in Sudoku are obviously much easier although I have seen several versions of this game for Kindle that only come with about 30 puzzles. Watch out -- although the words of each puzzle do match a common theme, the clues to those words generally come from other meanings of the word(s).

But the price is certainly right and it is fun -- speaking 4s00thly!

5.0 out of 5 stars Really a fun game August 23, 2011

Game is sometimes easy and sometimes quite hard. There are groups of categories like Animals, Things found in doctor's offices, Holidays, etc.

Each item has the number to tell you how many groups of letter pieces you need to answer the item.

You can get a hint but you have to use one hint at a time although you can skip that question to answer another. But you can't get any more hints in a single game until you guess the one you have been given.

This is one of the best of the free games so far although there are only so many games to play so limited repeated playing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Puzzle Me This.... September 3, 2011

In short, whoever came up with this game should get a raise.

The game is part trivia, part puzzle. You get a word or phrase clue (like with a crossword puzzle) and you build the answer from a set of tiles that have two or three letters on them (sort of like Scrabble with more letters per tile). The clue will tell you the number of puzzle pieces it will take to build the answer. The puzzles aren't overly complex. If you have a decent vocabulary, you'll be fine playing the game for the most part. There are some difficult clues but, overall, it's not as if you need a PhD to play. If you're looking for something that is really challenging or brain-building, this probably isn't it.

There are 10 themed categories with 10 puzzles per category (so 100 puzzles total). The categories included are:
* Holidays
* Fun with Food and Drink
* Things You See At A...
* All Kinds of Animals
* A Surplus of Sports
* Things You See In A...
* World Traveler
* Nothing But Leftovers
* Do Your Homework
* It's All Greek To Me

The game includes the standard features, including shuffle and hint. The hint will show you the first tile of the first unsolved clue. The one thing I really didn't like was that you can't get a different hint. You can't get a hint for the second tile if you're really stuck and you can't choose the clue that gets the hint. One feature that did seem to be missing is the timer, so you never know how long it takes you to solve a puzzle. The instructions are clear if you're one of those people who needs to know how to play before starting a puzzle.

In the end, I'm sure I'll wile away many more hours than I already have playing this game. I hope they come up with more puzzles soon.

I thought this was a great buy. I found some of the puzzles easy and some of them hard. I do not agree with the viewer who said this would be for junior high or high schoolers, it is good for graduates too :) i certainly did not breeze through the levels.

This is a great little freebie. Some of them are really easy and some have a little challenge. I would definitely pay for an extreme challenge version. This is worth the 10 seconds it takes to download. :-)

Letters worn off of keys
get a "no-key" skin-search on amazon for 'no-key'. They come in a lot of different designs. These skins do not have the holes for the keys, but have the letters on the vinyl that covers the keys....makes the keys very easy to read.
