From the Publisher

Margo Piper had to figure it out the hard way. When her beloved husband was diagnosed with small stroke dementia, she felt alone and unequal to the task before her. Caught in a double role reversal - imposed by the declining health of her mother as well as her husband - she kept a journal as she learned the importance of giving herself tender, loving care. Jill Came Tumbling After is the result of editing the journal. A love story as much as a guide for caregivers, this most recent book from Margo Piper will touch the heart of every reader.

Do you have a loved one who is slipping away from you because of health problems?

Do you sometimes wish you were far away from the situation?

Do you feel guilty about the way you feel?

Do you wonder if others feel as you do?

Does your spirit need a lift?

Margo Piper can help.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring caregiver's story of how partner's illness caused her own illness, May 25, 2008
By
D. Brown (Morriston FL USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Jill Came Tumbling After : One Caregiver's Journey to Acceptance (Paperback)
Margo Piper, married to a son of the inventor of the Piper Cub, was dismayed when her loving, super-capable husband began to lose his competence, first in small activities, then in nearly everything. The constant worry of his care as he descended into dementia brought on by TIAs caused Margo to have a psychic break herself. She courageously tells her story, of her constant love and her fighting back from her own illness. This is a must-read for anyone who is a caregiver or knows a caregiver who has a partner or parent with Alzheimer's or any type of dementia.
