A great voice we haven't heard enough of,
By Michael J Edelman (Huntington Woods, MI USA) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Jill Ohara (Audio CD)
Jill O'Hara made a big splash on Broadway in 1968 with her outstanding performance as Fran Kubelik in Bacharach and David's "Promises, Promises". She never followed that up with another Broadway hit, which is a pity as she has a wonderfully rich and expressive voice. Since then she's been known- or unknown- mainly as a cabaret singer, and this album is a great showcase of her talents. Her voice is every bit as good as it was in 1968. Better, really, as it's matured along with her, and she shows she can still deliver both intimate ballads and big show stoppers in her beautiful and distinctive voice.
