The recipes are mainstream, with bows toward the trendy: flower salad, Szechuan vodka, Jewish pizza a la Spago. Instructions are often casual: muesli lists chopped apples as an ingredient, and then instructs the cook to grate them. Photographs and index not seen. Not for libraries. SP

I was very pleased with this cookbook. It has unique recipes not found in a lot of other cookbooks. I love to try new recipes. I've tried one so far and it was delicious.

All of the recipes in this book are easily understood, and anyone who knows the basics of cooking should be able to make the dishes. The pictures and table layouts are beautiful and really make the reader want to try the recipes. The only thing that looks at all dated is Jill's 1980's hair do, and even that goes very well on her. Everything else, including the ingredients, seem up to date. If you can get a copy and you enjoy beautiful cookbooks, you will enjoy this one.

JIll gave me her recipies for Prime rib,Yorkshire puddin, mushrooms, brussles spurouts, Pasta melonaze and others years ago and they are a staple in my home.

I gotta get her book before it is too late.
