Being an almost 10 year fan of Jim Brickman and his music I was eagerly awaiting his newest cd, "Beautiful World," and it was worth the wait. I love it! Once, again, Jim has composed, arranged and performed some wonderful music! As I am typing this review, I am listening to the cd for a second time and already have my favorites: "Oceans Apart," "Noche Pacifica," "Romance sur la Seine," and "Carnivale." What sets Mr. Brickman apart from other pianists I have listened to is his "sound." His is very distinctive and it touches my psyche and I am never disappointed. The music relaxes me, makes me smile and even once in a while makes me cry. The emotions it evokes in me touches my heart. I definitely will be purchasing more copies of "Beautiful World" to give to family and friends (as I have done with Jim's other cd's) as presents to go in their Christmas stocking. Another fantastic compilation! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

I am a long time Brickman fan. I knew the Beautiful World CD would be good, because Mr. Brickman is truly gifted. This CD does not disappoint. Beautiful World takes us on another journey that reminds us of the beauty in our worlds. One does not only hear a Brickman difference listening to Brickman music,-----you feel it.

Just when I think JB cannot possibly produce an album that is any better---he does!!
This CD is a must for any Brickman music fan and it is also a must for anyone who enjoys amazing music.

All Jims stuff is great. Saw him in concert recently and would also give 5 stars.

I love piano music and am facinated by those who can compose and play. This is my first Jim Brickman album although I have listened to him on the radio for years. I like having a well rounded collection of the music I enjoy.

Another pretty CD from Jim Brickman. I think the reason he's so great is that he doesn't fall into the flowery style of other pianists. If you like Jim, you'll be happy with this one--the first cut, Simple Gifts, will draw you in and you'll enjoy the rest as well.

Jim Brickman's 2009 offering "Beautiful World" is another stunning gem like his other albums. His easy-flowing style of "tickling the ivories" is captivating once again on this album, adding beauty and simplicity to anyone's day. Just lovely and beautiful music. My wife and I had to pleasure of seeing him in concert for the first time in Minneapolis in November last year. What a totally cool, humble, and classy gentleman Jim is!! Got to meet up with Jim after the show, get an item we had purchased autographed, and get our picture taken with him!! Highly recommended album, and I highly recommend his concert performance as well if you never been to one! This guy deserves the superstardom he receives! And Jim, my wife and I love you and your work, and we hope to see you in concert again!

I'm a brand new Jim Brickman fan. After hearing the title song on the radio recently, I impulsively bought the CD, and I'm glad I did. I think I just found a new (new to me) artist to follow. Definitely a CD I'll be playing on Valentine's Day.

I have just about all of Jim's recordings, and to me, this doesn't hit the mark. Too much non-piano and not enough "Jim"

Not the best CD that Jim Brickman has released, but certainly not the worst...about 3/4 of the cuts are pretty good, but not too much of a fan of the last two. However, for Brickman fans, I'd still recommend purchasing it. However, if I had it to do over, I'd definitely download by track. It's going to work out to about the same as a full purchase of the CD on Amazon, but it'll save you having to hit the "skip" button on your CD player!
